The main problem is ambient temperature desu. Summer without AC.
When I opened it up two years ago I've removed the thin layer of dust that was there — no significant effect.
But, even if it wasn't that hot, I would want something newer anyway.

I already thought about it many times. I can get a P52 with the same CPU+RAM+SSD and a retina-level DPI monitor, but it will cost nearly the same as a 15" mac. So, in case of thinkpad I don't really see any benefit — if macs are overpriced, so are thinkpads. For me it looks like this, maybe you know something great about thinkpads that I don't know.
