on Linux the HW acceleration is turned off because it has some nasty bugs with a certain shitty driver (nvidia)
but it still works better than Chromium so if you want to force it, just enable these in about:config
layers.acceleration.force-enabled
layers.omtp.enabled
layout.display-list.retain
