I wish I could find a nonsystemd that just werks but that doesn't fucking exist because despite claiming the itherwise the Linux community is extremely restrictive

humm I might just do that, I'm currently using arch which I think is alright and was looking into ways of removing systemshit.

If you like arch, there are versions without systemd. I use parabola openrc, everything just werks.

well I found out what program was causing the problem, it was virtualbox which I installed yesterday and never setup, so it isn't a systemd issue. But I think i'd still like to use a distro with out it, Gentoo uses openrc, I've never installed gentoo before, my question would be, is it just a meme distro or is it actually any good once configured properly?

I've found 3 Unix derives with current texlive.
1 even allows you to build it from source.

It isn't, the system boots fine, it just fails to find 4 modules related to vbox.
