wat?
how?
What in The name of Fuck?
cluster size
Check show hidden system files in folder properties and look on the root C:\. How big is pagefile and hiberfile?
holy shit man.
I just upgraded with 2x8GB DDR3 dimms,
did a clean install and literally the disk was full for no apparent reason.
God damn it, I had use windows 7 since 2009 and never seen such faggotry.
BTW hibernate was off by default as I haven't activated this installation yet.
Cherck "Adjust perfomance and appearance of Windows" > Advanced to shrink pagefile (I suggest leaving it to 1024MiB) and run powercfg.exe /hibernate off to turn off hibernation.
WINDIRSTAT nigger, do it now and post results
Window directory can take up to 30gb
this, I did powercfg -h off everytime I clean install
Windows computes file sizes and hard disk capacities in MiB, but displays it as MB.
>leaving it at 1gb
just set it to min size 512MB and max size (half your ram), just werks for me and never grows
No one listen to this retard, whatever you do.
Never. A dynamic pagefile will get fragmented. You don't really need a pagefile at all at 16+ GB of RAM, but Windows still writes some crap on it in case of a crash. 1GB is enough for that.
Who gives a fuck if it’s fragmented? get more RAM poorfag
As I said, on 16GB+ there is no reason for pagefile at all. Keeping it at 1GB fixed is necessary for Windows to write crash logs.
>WINDIRSTAT nigger
doesn't exist
anyhow, here's the windows folder.
I ran into the same issue and I found this article to be quite informative in explaining the issue.
blogs.technet.microsoft.com
wow, very old comments on this article.
I know what the fuck KiB vs KB is you fuckstick. Do you honestly believe GB vs GiB would result in a 30 gigabyte reported difference? Fuck you for making me reply to your retarded ass.
>doesn't exist
download it you dumb fuck windirstat.net
Probably some shitty program saving crap in your users folder.
>doesn’t exist
Then download it dummy
Upgrade to uderzo.it
For future reference, windirstat is a great tool to figure out what is eating up your disk space. We used to use it to manage servers that would have 10+ gigabyte log files after months of running, Windows updates taking up space (it's safe to delete the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ iirc) etc.
WHAT THE FUCK!
What is this magic?
pic related btw
