Sometimes it works great, but especially if I want more country specific results it delivers a bunch of unrelated stuff. In such a cases I try again with DDG.

I don't like the default settings. Far too much crap shoved on the screen at once, adult filter is on and I don't want to get results based on my country by default. Yes, you can change everything and save the bookmark, but if you want those settings while using your browser's search bar, you need to make an account.

Fair enough. Though I don't care about the tending and I've never had an issue with it not showing results for my country or an issue with the content/adult filter.

So, is there some kinda chart diagram thingimajig that explains every recommended search engine by Jow Forums? I keep hearing new names spout from everhwhere and I'm unsure which one to try. I want to stop using Google but every other engine I've tried(which is not many) provides really shitty results that often evwn having me click to the second page

Why should I trust qwant ? I know the laws of my country, and I'd rather use yandex or duckduckgo or even a chinese search engine over qwant.

Not really. The owner used to have a business where he made and sold user information, but there's nothing to indicate he does that with DDG.
Others say that since it's located in the USA, it can't be trusted. Poltards say that the owner is jewish and therefore evil.
There's really no proof though. And DDG does provide a very good experience.

Lets discuss subjective opinions about programming languages for about 2-3 hours for the nth time. It's really fun and I enjoy it because I don't value my time.
