It's mainly plain text, so it's safe for work, except some user-uploaded junk in /chan/misc. You can view it over HTTP or the gopher protocol, if you're uni isn't blocking port 70 (i.e. every port except 80/443)

To be fair, a uni probably would've been less strict and wouldn't have the sort of automatic filters/surveillance they have today.

Do they block SSH? most SSH clients will allow you to create a SOCKS tunnel over the connection, that you can then connect your web browser or other programs to via the proxy settings.

nah, can't ssh either, only a severely strained port 80, which is pretty fucked up for a school focused on engineering like wpi

How can you tell? I'm pretty sure it isn't .NET, normally ASP.NET leaves behind JS artifacts in the page after compilation which isn't present here.
