No, it doesn’t have real adblocking.

Hosts adblocking isn’t enough nowadays.

Try it. If you don't find it good, uninstall it.
>learn to think for yourself you fucking retard.

Just disable javascript. Wow, no more shitty internet.

Qutebrowser is pretty good, all browsers are shit, but QB isn't high on the list of offenders.

I am going to fucking try it but I fell for the gentoo meme so it's been compiling qtwebengine for hours

Just use ungoogled Chromium, and install the Vimium plugin if you want the nice keyboard-centric browser experience.

I'm using it right now and I like it. quickmarks and scripting are pretty useful if you're into that sort of thing.

STALLED

I'm sorry anonkun, I had no idea you fell for the Gentoo meme. So we all need to tell you what to do and how to think.

In that case, its the best browser in the world. There is nothing on the current market than can even hold a candle to it. I used it on AOL 56k modem and had speeds that rivaled broadband and t1. Its secure too! No one was able to see me watch incest goat porn. There were no ads so no more "Grammarly" shit on youtube. It solved all my problems and even made my PC run cooler while increasing my ram from 512mb to 99tb.

Go for it OP. You've got nothing to lose.

I've been using it for half a year and it's gear. takes a while to get used to normal/insert mode, but once you get used to it normal mode gives you so much freedom to remap keys for navigation and scripting. there's a ton of configuration so you can make it fit your own needs completely.

using this and hostfile blocking is good enough

github.com/StevenBlack/hosts
this provides scripts for blocking more than just the defaults that qutebrowser uses

>gear
fug
great*

f-fuck you!

Yes, I'm currently using it. The best vim-like browser. Firefox extensions are great too tho.

Ok I'll just install ublock origin and only allow the scripts needed because most sites dont work with everything disabled. Oh wait, you cant install extensions...

I don't know yet. it's still testing
packages.gentoo.org/packages/www-client/qutebrowser

It has had per domain settings for several months now retard.

How are those big white blank spaces retard?

>qutebrowser thread
anyone else been messing around with qtengine flags?

these are mine I'm currently using
c.qt.args = ['disable-reading-from-canvas',
'enable-vulkan',
'enable-native-gpu-memory-buffers',
'force-gpu-rasterization',
'enable-zero-copy', # requires gpu rasterization
'enable-partial-raster',
'num-raster-threads=4',
'process-per-site',
'enable-accelerated-vpx-decode',
'font-cache-shared-handle',
'disable-smooth-scrolling',
]

managed to almost get everything hardware accelerated, except video decode/encode because of linux (you can activate it if you ignore gpu blacklist but dunno how safe that is). haven't done any benchmarking but it feels like it things renders faster.

share yours!

Pasting transparent images in qutebrowser remove the transparency. I'm using QtWebEngine as the backend. What the fuck is going on?

test?

Secure != private, get your facts straight.

This is what happens.
I don't know what's causing this.

Forgot pic. Semi-transparent pixels become fully transparent and completely transparent pixels turn black. Switching backends on my machine completely breaks the browser.

Semi-transparent pixels become fully opaque. Fuck I'm retarded

Use waterfox with vimfx

weird, don't think I can help you other than saying it works for me

Pasing images in other programs displays the image correctly. It only happens when I paste it into qutebrowser itself. Pasting images in GIMP works fine. Pic related.

Pydiot

Gotta try this, thanks

Neat. I'm wondering if a privacy centric config would be useful (e.g. I'm not actually sure how much of the shit like HTML beacons are disabled by default).
