In 1995 there were 16 million people on the internet. In 2018 there are 4.15 billion on the internet.

I fucking miss Flash so much. So versatile and compressed. Now we have JS which replaced all the negatives, but none of the benefits.

truth also observed how optimised they were. nowadays it's rare to see optimised code.
i mean yeah there's no reason for that with the memory not a big problem but still maybe it was a problem we dont need to solve anymore i think. meh.
flash games were the shit then.

I just miss when the internet felt less crowded and the sites were less corporate and more passion driven

agree man. because i think getting onto internet was a filter in itself in that time which weeded out normies.

now everyone could just click 2 buttons and he's in the internet falling for easy scams for companies to abuse these idiots.

This is exactly how I feel. Surprisingly enough, there are still sites like this out there. They just make a lot less of the total Internet traffic and usually are relatively static in terms of the content they host.

It's cool to hate on Flash these days, but I spent quite a bit of time in Shockwave and Flash back in the day. There was a lot to like about it. We didn't really have to care about the security aspect, because who would be such a shitheel to do something evil with something so cool? It was a more innocent time.

Nobody "cruises the Internet" anymore. gopher was great for finding all sorts of rabbit holes. There was even a time when usenet wasn't a black hole of failure.

DELET that hits too close to home

I know what you mean. Everything is so consolidated now. Why bother making a site with all kinds of info about the show when there's a wiki? And that's just one example.

Another one is how well what was on the web could be taken off of it. I have about 15,000 Transformers fanfics in text files that would have been impossible to save from something like fanfiction.net.

Even the idea of "the web" doesn't really fit. It's more like a bicycle wheel, where you can be on the edge, but all paths lead to the center (Facebook, Google, etc.)

the only thing I have nostalgia for is for when normies weren't interested in technology at all

Attached: 1483263636148.jpg (1477x1941, 429K)

can anyone guess which software these tutorials are for?

Attached: Screenshot_2018-07-27_03-10-47.png (1047x475, 118K)

SAP shit.

ABAP 4 specifically

Literally says that in the screenshot, smartie.

I think those sites are dead in their own way. They all have this really weird air about them, which a lot of MUDs have as well, as if everyone's trying to pretend that nothing has changed.

This is the most obnoxious normalnigger shit I've heard on Jow Forums all day. There are plenty of interesting and independent websites out there, but you're just that kind of retard who's incapable of finding them. There are thousands of sites that use their own captchas and other obfuscation methods to prevent Google and others from indexing them. My website I host is invite only and hidden behind a login page. I do it because downies like you wouldn't deserve the content if you could find it in the first place.

Go back to Facebook or whatever.

kek didnt see that im dumb.

ok another one, guess this software? (hint it's not a software)

should i keep posting these obscure shit from my CD/DVDs??
im just going through my files and copying which i want and posting interesting stuff.

Attached: Screenshot_2018-07-27_03-22-45.png (1057x675, 135K)

So how many people have you invited to your page?
And pull your head out of your ass, because you're attempt to show how big your micropenis is just proved me right. I assert that you're either on the rim, or in the center, and your counter is "I'm on the rim."

how do you avoid google from indexing your site? any tips or where to look.

I came here specifically to find pictures of your desk, thanks dude.

ST is comfy

Attached: 520_ST.jpg (640x480, 145K)

Pretty much everything I love has gone into the past. Module/tracker music? Dead. Even hipsterish chiptunes have passed. IF? Nope, it's all faggy VNs which are as far from IF as it's possible to get.

I have nothing at all left...

so the demoscene? yeah that is very much still alive user. people are still making mods and other chipmusic

I just finished assembling a ACSI cable for my Megafile but its not working, I wonder if the DMA chip in my ST has gone squiffy.

Attached: bleached-megafile.jpg (4000x6000, 2.13M)

lack of a megafile is the only thing keeping me from using my ST

too bad I'll probably never find one
