Stop killing threads for this garbage, find a taper monkey script, get better Internet, set your account to always play best quality or find a browser extension to do this for you. It's really not that hard.
>Have Gigabit internet connection
>YouTube is still too slow
>It's still just as slow as it is on a 30Mbps connection.
Reminder to net neutrality cucks that throttling still happens if the websites choose to throttle rather than the ISPs.
>click on youtube tutorial
>video quality is 240p max
wtf how am i supposed to read this shit?
Why's the youtube player so gigantic all of a sudden?
According to Mozilla, YouTube is x5 times as slow on FireFox and Opera with other browsers besides just Chrome due to one particular deprecated instruction in Chrome which Google specifically made usable by YouTube for forcing of it's botnet garbage. And this x5 times slowdown happens regardless of your Internet's speed. So either become an NSA/SJW cuck and use Chrome, or use actual browsers and just endure this for now, until solutions come out.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>STILL WATCHES VIDEO IN SUB-HD
mpv and youtube-dl don't have this problem.
what's the best way to search for content using them?
This.
A temporary (and kinda hacky-shitty) solution i guess would be to use chrome ONLY for youtube, as they're already drinking up data from you being there anyway.
Go to youtube and set it as one of those chrome desktop-apps that opens it in a sealed window and leave it at that.
I don't know if Chrome does background stuff or fucks with you just having it on your PC, but this is the best i can think of if it's really that much of an issue
