Sometimes you'll need to remove /etc/fonts/conf.d/70-no-bitmaps.conf or something like that in order to actually allow bitmaps on your system

1366x768, looks alright of other people with that resolution. Bitmap fonts are supposed to look better for low res screens.

depends on the terminal you use.
you can def set a bitmap font at 16px of height if you want to, it'll just look ugly as shit.
anyway, if a bitmap font looks bad on your system it's because you're messing with its size, that's it.
