I don't find games or anime as bad things.I find them complex type of art with all these programmers, designers, writers and voice actors, involved in making a video game.

Now it depends on what kind of anime and games you are consuming.If you play dota2 and watch shit anime like highschool dxd then it is mindless consumption.

I honestly can't comprehend the extremist views, nor comprehend the seemingly oxymoronic views.
Views like video games are for children, mindless consumption, etc. and suggesting watching movies or taking and processing photos as a way to "grow up". Granted I very much dislike the way game design has gradually shifted over the past 15 years or so, but games like Tekken, UT (Rest in peace), and Quake are far from mindless. And aside from the competition games testing your awareness, psychological play, knowledge, and technical skill vs others - assuming you did play garbage like PUBG, Battlefield, League, Mass Effect, Skyrim, or whatever else people play, I'd argue that movies are about the same or worse than the games. However considering that very few games with intelligent design that focus on the mental exercise aspect are coming out and actually falling quickly out of style, perhaps photography would be a better way to spend my time.

Read, go out, play sports. All I can think of.
