why do normalFUCKS not appreciate rugged laptops/ thicker devices in general so much?
>i-is not p-portable unless it's less than 1.5 cm and 1.3 kg!
*cpu throttles*
*battery reaches 5% after 6 hours*
*carries 3kg charger with him everywhere*
*shatters after a 0.5 meter drop*

Because most people want a girlfriend/boyfriend.

because it will cut your wrist while you are typing.

Just kill yourself, Op.

I personally love laptops that are durable but that thing looks uncomfortable as shit. Think about how much your wrists would hurt from having to be pressed against that edge in order to type

I dunno man i can sympathize with wanting a durable laptop but not at the cost of usability comfort

i tried to get my work to buy a getac laptop server, was going to cost $30k

>hurr it's heavy, unpractical and normiers don't use it
>durr that must mean it's good
Why don't you carry your desktop pc with you, you weakwristed faggot?

I miss my cf50 abd cf52. Real things that never broke down

Wtf you talking about

If you don't work in some resource exploitation/military job and you're carrying one of these around as your daily driver you're a fucking tryhard.

>everyone should have a bullet-proof laptop server!
but i am not against thick laptops (thickness of an old thinkpad is fine to me)
and the laptop i am posting on weights 2.5 kg

Kek, I have actually used this laptop at work (industrial)

Just try and imagine sitting down at a desk and trying to type on that elevated ass keyboard, it's fucking uncomfortable

only because your used to your cuckbook probe

>being this big of a crybabby

It's not a macbook, user.

>resting your wrist

>why do normalFUCKS not appreciate rugged laptops/ thicker devices in general so much?
They only use them for browsing facebook.
wrong.

...

>that dirty screen
Mate

I used similar computers for a bit in the military, sure they're tough as nails and will block incoming mortars, but typing on them and using them in general is pretty poor.

One of the tougher thinkpads like an 11e is good enough for basically any sort of "rugged" type work.

'cause they want a fashion accessory, not a computer

i wanted to buy one of these but the ones i could find were intel. I like knowing i can beat a man to death with my laptop and still be able to use it, it also has a cyberpunk aesthetic

I had a 2010 MBP for four years, switched to an Acer Aspire S7 in 2014. it was like night and day. two pounds lighter made a significant difference on my back and for daily use. the power supply was lighter than the MBP's, too. if you need desktop-grade power while at fucking starbucks I guess I see a point to a laptop more than 3lbs but the whole point is portability. thin and light is the way to go, and you can mitigate the fragility by going with a laptop made of metal or carbon fiber.

because thicker laptop owners develop a weird illness where they type like a retard by fake stuttering

do u?

Here's OP

Can anyone recommend me a THICC laptop with good specs? I always see bigger laptops but they ALWAYS have 2009-10 tier specs

Porn goes in /gif/, silly

got a toughbook, but I only use it when camping in case something happens at my job/I get bored

As far as thinkpads go I would be pretty lucky to have 6 hours of video streaming.

>implying Jow Forums doesn't shill lenovo laptops specifically because they are naturally very tough and cheap to fix/upgrade

you need to lurk moar. Jow Forums hates thin laptops.

Well, the device in your picture is too thick to fit in a backpack with the rest of your stuff, meaning it will occupy your hand at all times. I do think that laptops thinner than my X230 are for onions product enthusiasts, though. They could just keep this thickness and gradually upgrade the internals as technology progresses. More battery life, better screen, higher performance. You would feel like it's an upgrade when you switch to a newer model instead of having pretty much the same performance but it's a little thinner again. It could even be the X220 base to ensure that the keyboard will always have travel.
