the real question is is why hasnt anyone made an OS where instead of X11 or wayland, its just one HTML/CSS/JS rendering engine that also handles any web browsing you do. suddenly all the 'wasted ram' is just your window manager that runs all websites natively :)

incorrect. Android runs their own manager and the apps are all javashit. chromeos is the same way, but only runs chrome.
if the app you want to use hasn't caught up with last years technology of data caching and storage, you need better software :)

Screens are run on webview using HTML + CSS. The ART (not JVM) is only used for backend stuff, similar to backend web development.
