You only got what you deserve

I make 160k right out of college and I dont even have a CS degree xD

That sounds about right OP. I made about that much right out of college. Of course that was 25 years ago.

before or after tax?

Do you not know how to google median salaries for various jobs? After a year or two of experience start applying at other places

I have a sociology degree and I'm making more than you, kek

What work is there for a sociologist? Hard to believe there is actually anything of value you guys can contribute to society?

Works as "social worker"

I do statistical analysis for various social research grants at my university

Don't autothread yourself, you colossal anal abortion

>30k
>customer service degree
sounds about right

Ah, so you work in academia for the same department that educated you. I guess it's either that or McDonalds?

Attached: 1422190592942.jpg (500x535, 31K)

Pretty much. Benefits and vacation are pretty epic since it's a state job. And I usually spend 80% of my time browsing Jow Forums and playing chess.

In what area?

Should have went IS. I'm making 50k out of college in a LCOL area.

I expect to make 70k when I hop in a year.

>like clicking on my pewter
>decide to quit NEET life and go to college
>pick pewter science cuz it sounds so cool
>6 hard years later, finally get my University of Phoenix degree
>google still not responding to my e-mails
>mfw I realize Jow Forums lied to me

€ 30k right?

I make more money scrubbing shit off toilets, wtf are you doing

> University of Phoenix
lel

9k€ / month out of college

All you stupid niggers had to do was group up with your college class mates and start your own company. Ya'll know nothing about running anything. That's why you will always be low wage scum obsessed with degrees and money. Brainlets.

thats not bad it is more than what i made in my entire life

i never worked

Attached: 1528584108345.jpg (675x447, 51K)

you can't put a price on doing what you love

99% of my classmates were retarded but I did join a startup with some people in my city tho.

Faggot.

Making 100k is cringe? K den kiddo

Not OP, but at a startup that I worked at out of college I've demonstrated being able to do 10x the work but was offered only .1% (almost worthless) in stock options when I asked if I could get more.

I do night cleaning shit of toilets and didn't even go to college and I make 40k what the fuck?

I dropped out of college and got a real job and make six figures being a dumb truck driver, OP you done goofed by going to (((((college)))))

>(((truck driving)))

> (((retard)))

i hope u get analcancer and die a painful death

lmao I joined the military, and now make $47k/yr literally shitposting on Jow Forums and doing (free) college work all day.

OP how did you land such a shit position. Genuinely curious, do you live in a small city?

> demonstrates why the military is welfare
> cries when people dont support vets
You were saying?

did you read your SICP? and more importantly, did you even understand it? Do not lie on the internet, please

Triggered

> cries when people dont support vets
Yep, every single military person on Jow Forums is me.
Also, I don't think vets deserve the level of masturbatory worship that they get in the US. My sacrifice is providing IT services that would normally cost $70k for less than market price.
I do think that if you're injured in the military, they should pay to fix you/pay disability.

My workload is only that easy because I've automated it. Most of the brainlets they enlist will type the same shit in over and over.

Nah, I know other vets who are just like you. Sucking off that gubmint tit, too lazy to put yourself to school, wears that flag like a true Patriot™. Cant wait until that US gubmint military welfare budget is slashed massively; or the govt falls apart.

I'd be surprised if you or any of you milifags could even turn on a computer. The best milifags I've worked dont know the difference between an operating system and firmware.

> I do think that if you're injured in the military, they should pay to fix you/pay disability.

Bet you dont support that for anything else, Patriot™ right?

Look, I dont want to attack you personally and or vets that have actually done something for this country. But honestly, there hasnt been a worth fighting for over 60 years. Now, it's just a welfare program.

>analcancer
i hope i get that too

>welfare is bad

Attached: 1521501401810.png (645x729, 58K)

Nah I support welfare; when it's equal opportunity for everyone. Not just Patriots™.

Found the nigger

> too lazy to put yourself to school
I literally just said I'm taking college classes.
I wasn't willing to take on big debt when the option to get it paid for exists.

>I'd be surprised if you or any of you milifags could even turn on a computer. The best milifags I've worked dont know the difference between an operating system and firmware.

I'm sorry you got the bad ones. I'm your everyday network admin, doing my best to manage the infrastructure for a base with thousands of people and dozens of buildings on it. The smart guys usually get out after their first enlistment, go to college, and you wouldn't know they were military unless they told you.

Ideally there would be single payer healthcare in this country, but healthcare for vets is easier for the public here to swallow.

You're making a lot of assumptions about my views there buddy. Most people you'll talk to in the military just did it because it's a paying job, the "thank me for my service" guys are usually the idiots who joined and peeled potatoes, and then were shocked when they got out and realized they had no skills.

Where the fuck do you live, Nebraska?

>hurr why don't those poor people just go get jobs!

If you're not of that then I apologize. The ones I'm talking about seem to think the world owes them. Like they freed the jews from a second holocaust. They wear the flag like its some fucking status symbol and only they can wear it; when most in fact havent even been deployed.

> the idiots who joined and peeled potatoes, and then were shocked when they got out and realized they had no skills.
See too many of those.
The thing that drives me nuts though is the "flag bearers" and the ones who are riding out the GI Bill. One guy I know gets full university tuition paid by the military and gets paid full time ($2700/mo or some shit). This is absolutely fucking disgusting and should not be allowed.

>If you're not of that then I apologize
It's OK, most people who admit to being in the military are like that.
I just wanted to point out that OP's job was paying even lower than mine.

The idiots who wear the subdued American flag everywhere are the ones who eat up all that military worship.
There's a whole sub dedicated to making fun of them over at Jow Forumsjustbootthings

>One guy I know gets full university tuition paid by the military and gets paid full time ($2700/mo or some shit)
That's like the #1 incentive to get people into the military. You get 3 years of college paid for and a living stipend (exact amount depends on location).

It wasn't so insane back when they implemented it, because the price of college wasn't so fucking inflated.
Now with a semester easily running $25k, more people than ever are joining for the education benefits.
Almost makes me wonder if the government is allowing the runaway tuition costs for that reason alone.

legit first convo where I didnt get a "fuck you commy"

fwiw, I dont have a problem with free college/university tuition. I just do not like how its a limitation to the military. Its unacceptable that it's behind a "wall".

It's hilarious how many people I work with talk about "dem commies" and shit but don't realize they're actually living in the closest thing to full socialism there is right now

Like I said, do you think it's because the government just wants more cannon fodder to join?
I made sure I'd get a good IT job. A lot of guys I know are out there rolling in mud or stacked like sardines on a Navy boat (though they might like the man selection on the boat).

I'm catching up to u on welfare

Well I find it disgusting because the military breeds patriots. Who is going to come out and be like "Yea, I put my life on the line; but I got what I came for, fuck the institution?" I support the military and vets when the war is justified; I dont support this bullshit expansionism, "attack them before they attack us", fudging the intelligence data, spying on Americans first mentality.

>Go die for Israel goys then you'll get Jew educationed

Cant tell if you are attacking me. I dont support Israel at all. Reasons below:
> Apartheid
> They constantly destabalize the region
> They want a zionist govt (I dont support religion, soz)
> US constantly funds their military garbage.
> Israeli military will shoot and kill journalists and then use that as a decoy to shoot and kill civilians
Fuck Israel. But dont think I support the idiot white nationalists rhetoric on
> hur hur jews own everything hur hur

I have that mentality but mostly because I'm a bit fucked in the head and have sort of a low regard for my own life.
A lot of service members are starting to call the government out hardcore on why we've been fighting a "war" for 16 years.
I also made sure to get one of the safest positions I could. Not that I'd coward out in a dangerous scenario, but I'd rather not be in that situation to begin with.

We don't spy on citizens. That's all the NSA/CIA bois. We're mostly defensive cyber.

Not sure who you are but that's the #1 reason I'm not re-enlisting.
Some general literally said (paraphrased) "US troops are prepared to die for Israel".

I got real fuckin upset because while I wouldn't be too upset if I died for something that would benefit the US, I absolutely don't think Israel should even exist.

I legit have no problem with an American refusing to fight in a war they disagree with. Yes I know the military owns you or some shit like that. But, I'd back any service person who took this stance because it's a basic human right to put down the weapon and walk away if they believe them or their team is about to do something atrocious.

I'm , not . Israel is a fucking disgusting nation that should be cut off from on all US funding and support. Let the middle east sort it out themselves. They shouldnt be killing civilians and occupying territory they arent entitled to and then crying the victim. While I know I cannot limit my taxes and what goes over to Israel I absolutely fucking will not buy Sabra or Pepsi products simply because profits go partially to Israel.

>I'm only making 30k
Thank God, I selected EE.

> Yes I know the military owns you or some shit like that
Yep. I signed a contract and took an oath that I would follow all legal orders given to me, and the government's end is that they will give me somewhere to live, food to eat, and I'll get paid.

Easy way for a kid 2 months out of high school to make adult money.
Now that I've been in for a few years, and really thought it over, I'm glad I joined because it has really set me up well and given me life experience, but I can't take that oath again. I really don't support much of what is going on, and I'm seriously dreading the thought of getting told to get on a plane and go to defend Israel.

>get on a plane and go to defend Israel
There actually talks on this though? Right now it just seems like Trump is way up their ass (also seems to be the Saudi's ass too).

>Fuck Israel. But dont think I support the idiot white nationalists rhetoric
Non-white detected.

>There actually talks on this though?

>according to Haimovitch, “I am sure once the order comes we will find here US troops on the ground to be part of our deployment and team to defend the State of Israel.”
>And those US troops who would be deployed to Israel, are prepared to die for the Jewish state, Clark said.

Clark is a 3 star US general. Yep, a US general is volunteering American lives for Israel.

Family literally came over from UK and fought in all major wars. Yes I'm white faggot. But I don't play my "white card" every chance I get you dumb fuck.

The average CS graduate earns 80k tho
You are low tier

So you're just politically illiterate then?
>I don't support religion, soz
Apart from calling you a faggot atheist, I must also inform you that Zionism has literally fuck-all to do with religion. Aside from that, studying theology is essential to understanding history. You're just handicapping yourself, m8.

You should be able to make at least $45k in a low cost of living area, or whatever the equivalent is if you're somewhere else.

>CS

Computer Science: Global Offensive

In the formal sense, it was literally the highest discipline throughout the middle ages and the main reason that universities even exist. In the non-formal sense, yes the study of religion is a thing that you can do. You fucking brainlets make me ill.

Attached: etu.jpg (400x462, 26K)

> doesnt answer question
> thinks universities and religion are somehow linked
> wants to study one book that cant even be translated properly
> confuses theology with "comparative religions" or "religious" studies
Where's your god now? try again?

It really is a shame that the U.S is a country where people have to formally put their life on the line to recieve basic social benefits like health and education. Too bad MAGAGs and other >muh commies idiots fail to realize how much organized social benefits can contribute to upward mobility.

>thinks universities and religion are somehow linked
mfw I just explained how they actually are
Yeah, you can fuck right off.

this

> Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
lol wat

>universities are Congress

It's because this country has been sold an outright lie of: "let the rich get richer and they'll make jobs and it will trickle down ;^) "
The reason it works is because us Americans are very proud, and subconsciously nobody considers themselves to be "working class" or "lower income". They're all just "temporarily embarrassed millionaires".

Therefore they consistently vote against their own interests because they're putting themselves in the position of the rich guy who would get taxed, not taking into consideration that living on $500k out of $1M is still really fucking nice.
They see it as "if I was taxed 50%, I would be dead broke!"

>30k right out of college
>Doesn't have to do some godawful welding job
>prestige and knowing you had it in you to complete college even
How the fuck is that bad?

>temporarily embarrassed millionaires
literally this

> or retards who went to a private school and think that religion is a topic worth studying
good example here

>striver poors
>muh BIGSTATE meal ticket
>muh UMC income
>muh yuppie lifestyle

when will they learn

>getting a CS degree
>not STEM

wtf are you even on about you brianlet?
Did I ever sate that religion was worth studying inside a modern university? Can you people not grasp the concept of study outside of a university setting? Just wtf is your problem?
>people not advocating for a system where shitskins abuse social benefits and bankrupt the economy is against their own interests

Attached: JUST.png (688x578, 32K)

> the concept of study outside of a university setting
tldr, too stupid to even get hired by a private university to shill religion

nigger do you actually not learn things outside of your career?

Attached: 1530461148407.jpg (680x620, 39K)

> confuses learning new things with publications of studies in journals
Are you a drop out?

$7k/month at an internship. Not even at FAANG.

So you're implying the act of studying only applies to peer-reviewed publications? Are you just fucking with me this whole time?

How am I supposed to know the context of "studying" that you are refering to? I legit dont know if you're studying from a book, reading a manual, writing a journal publication, etc. The entire talk has been about universities and "studying theology"; this implies that you are going to be publishing studies about it; hence the point:
> confuses learning new things with publications of studies in journals

you're right they should be advocating for the end of wage labor and markets

>has been about universities and "studying theology"
No, it was never about that. The conversation started when I stated that:
"studying theology is essential to understanding history". Then someone stated that you can't study theology (as in a university). Then I stated that theology was a central discipline to the first universities that sprang up in Europe throughout the middle ages.

When I say "study theology", I mean "learn about religion, it's extremely useful". We're caught in a bullshit semantic argument. Here's a picture for your time.
