WOW

Attached: 1532634681386.jpg (638x599, 123K)

It also crushes all Xeons and Epycs.

the thing is, intel can't really come up with anything faster than the 28-core die, it has basically no yields as it is, trying to add more cores to it will only make the yields worse
so if the upcoming 28-core cpus from intel are significantly slower than 2990wx intel will be truly fucked on hedt, unless they start to glue(tm) dies together.

OH NO NO NO NO

good, i dont need endless cores.
I just need 8 fast cores, intel can delivery me this

S E E T H I N G

Found the ruski pig

>unless they start to glue(tm) dies together.
which threadripper does

Keep in mind intel actually has 28 cores on a die, while threadripper is 4 1800X CPU's glued together

ITS NOT FAIR

knowing intel it's safe to say a hypothetical new intel cpu would be %2 better so your argument dosen't matter

IT CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!

Attached: 1512045377436.png (586x236, 40K)

This guy is pathetic

Reminder: He flaunts a plaque awarded to him that literally states he helped rush P4 Extreme. Make of that what you will.

can someone please make a crying wojak for this pathetic cheese eating incel cuck already

28 cores on a die and no way to actually stitch them together

.... what? I guess I'm too retarded but what is this nigger on about and what does that have to do with Intel / AMD?

He shills so hard for Intel that he will grasp at all and any straws. Pretty sad desu.

Fascinating

You forgot to mention he's an Ex employee, worked on Pentium 4 Panic Edition and Skylake-X, Intel's biggest joke releases

this someone do it now

Skylake-SP is actually good so it's obvious he hasn't worked on it.

It's over

Attached: 12562236.png (234x216, 10K)

So he is the guy on the right?

Basically, yeah. Except he still thinks he's a god for doing it or something.

>AMD shill threads on Jow Forums
I hope AMD pays well for you to shitpost here

shitposters say that Intel are jews/israelis and then they say Israel are indians, make up your fucking mind

All I see is EBYNs trading blows with Xeons worth 2 to 3 times more money.

MAKE MOAR CHIBSETS

so, would it be possible to get all 32 cores to run at 4.0ghz on a custom watercooling loop?

Yes, but you're losing 1-4 core performance.

If you can OC with pstates or bclk then you can retain or get better perf

>pstates or bclk
i acually don't know what that is.
does it boost with XFR beyond 4.0ghz?
t. 25yr old boomer with a 2600k

AMD's turbo is pretty smart since it can in most cases boost higher clocks than manual overclocking, pstates and bclk are BIOS options that allow you yo modify this behaviour

What really amuses me is that this is just their 2018 platform.
Next year we'll get Threadbrapper 2, which will be at least 32 cores again, but then with a new architecture at 7nm.
Intel is going to get buttraped so hard they'll be crying antisemitism.

shut up goy

You gotta wonder though, why would anyone spend $1700 on a 32 core CPU now, when AMD is releasing a much better product next year?
It's not like you're buying a 200 dollar "gaming" CPU, it's a massively powerful behemoth of a chip that can really do with a new die shrink to reduce power consumption per core.
With 32 cores active it would make a huge difference in power consumption and heat output.

NO GOY YOU MUST SUPPORT INTEL, JEWISH PEOPLE AND DIVERSITY

Intel is either going to drop a Tsarbomb sized Megaton announcement in 2020, or they will announce that "real" 7nm is just around the corner with their new architecture.

While Lisa Su laughs as AMD takes over the Data Center.

Attached: 1515411243361.png (552x661, 288K)

Unless Intel comes with an absolutely clever way of making 32 or 64 core cpus in a very cheap and efficient way they're not going to top AMD

Monolithic shit is dead forever.

Attached: 1528792313966.png (808x805, 150K)

How much power is that in a year or two? I guess, if you have old hardware, the savings together with write-offs could well cover the cost.

>old CPU crushes new CPU
WOW INTEL!

Getting there
3950X is habbiding for this jigga

I thought it was 4 2700X?

Owned by jews, shit on by pajeets, fraternized with, against the rules by Kraznich's

2020 is when Intel promised a new architecture after they saw Ryzen was legit.

AMD announced 2021 for a new architecture to compete.

Absolutely
I think he just wanted to post the word "glue"

Fair wait since Zen 2 is a pretty good blankslate redesign of Zen coming next year.

Its not a blank slate design. It's redrawn with 7nm and beyond in mind. With some upgrades to capitalize on smaller node.

It's the Intel redesign I'm curious about.

"cutting off parts from x86 so it runs faster"

well redrawn, thats a far cry from what this year zen+ was. Im just saying if AMD delivers next year then its fine for them to take a year extra for new arc

this, the 3950X is going to be a beast

people say that intel is fucked all the time, but the truth of the matter is that intel will always be the best for single core performance

i play shit loads of TF2, and that game is unoptimized as shit. it runs better on a 4ghz core i5 than the best ryzen chips available. this is true for other old games as well, which is why i buy intel CPUs

sure, if i wanted to play new AAA "games" (they are all shit nowadays), i would buy ryzen, but quite honestly i don't care about new releases, i only care for good old games (no pun intended)

chop chop

>intel will always be the best for single core performance
>zen2 will never happen
>7nm outside of intel will never happen
>intel's 10nm(12nm) will be a success

I JUST PUT MY LIFE SAVINGS INTO INTEL STOCK. THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING Jow ForumsROS

Attached: weeping Intel Wojak ushanka.png (653x726, 84K)

AMD is always in a perpetual state of catch-up.

Nvidia and Intel *purposefully* delay their releases until AMD has caught up so they can milk each product for as much as possible.

This has not changed, and neither has AMDrones' buyer's remorse.

semiaccurate.com/2018/08/02/intel-guts-10nm-to-get-it-out-the-door/

>yields on Cannon Lake which SemiAccurat first reported as, “awful” were in the 8-10% range

OH NO NO NO HAHAHAHA

>j-just wait! intel will release all the secret technology they've been holding back t-to finally crush ayymd

>8-10% range
On a tiny dual core with no igpu and is prob sub 50 mm2

that's why they're showing clear signs of panic?

Attached: 1493932977399.png (800x612, 234K)

And they will be losing money for every 10nm chip they release to the market. JUST beautiful.

Wikichip has the estimated size at a little over 70mm^2. Note that 60% of that area is the IGP, which is disabled.

8% yields of just the x86 cores. The yields are literally worse than Gen1 Fermi.
