Iphone 8 or Galaxy S9?

Both good choices. Go in a store, try both of them and pick the one that you like.

Repostan

Quick question, i'm moving from the uk to Canada next month (BC, Fraiser valley) and im looking for a suggestion as I have no idea about canadian networks.

I have an s7 currently and im looking to upgrade to something a bit newer ideally on contract. I havent really got a budget or network preference.

Seeing as everyone is talking about the redmi note 5 is it much of an upgrade compared to an s7? I can get one pretty cheaply in Bong bucks and pay as you go would work for me when im visiting the uk

>he doesn't have a xiaomi phone and matching xiaomi smartwatch

Is the Iphone X worth the extra money over the 8?

iphone 6s Plus Vs samsung s8 ??
the samsung looks better but their shitty logo again.......

as with everything apple-related, nothing is worth the extra money

I wouldn't reccomend the iPhone X, considering Apple is releasing new phones next month. Actually if you want an iPhone in general, I'd recommend holding on for a month.

Just got a company s9+ since s7 was starting to crap itself.

>systemUI has stopped
>systemUI has stopped
>camera stopped working
>hey install these samsung apps
>random notifications about samsung protecting my data
>systemUI has stopped
>random screen freeze
>clear camera cache/data
>open camera, tap on effects/filters
>camera stopped working

This is just after factory reset/wiped partitions, what am I in for once I install some apps?

I'm so sorry.

Don't be, I didn't pay for it and eventually can replace with something else :^)

S8 ofc. 6S+ is from 2015, it's ancient.

Just update the phone you dingus

S8 for 199 vs Note8 for 399. Heard some lag issues with S8 but that was a while ago. Is Note 8 worth double price?

But I did

>s8 for 199
where?

Factory reset

Do iphone prices drop right after the event announcing a new phone or do you have to wait until they actually release?

Tmobile only with new line and through 24 months.

LG G6 or Redmi Note 5 Pro?
Both are the same price.

phonearena.com/phones/compare/LG-G6,Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-5-Pro/phones/10379,10747

The latter.
G6 has nothing interesting going for it sans the wide-angle lens.

They drop right after afaik

answer my FUCKING QUESTION.

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE S9 ACTIVE?!?!?!

Cancelled due to poor sales of the previous Active models

Where's the source?

My dad works at Samsung

What is the current best Sony smartphone and how does it compare with Samsung ?

versus.com/en/qualcomm-snapdragon-636-vs-samsung-exynos-8890
Looks like it's not THAT big of an upgrade to the S7, you're probably better of going with a Mi Mix 2S/Mi 8 if you want something new, otherwise stick with the S7.

iphone se is best phone

Any good smartphone for around 200 that is good for listening to music? I live in Europe.

No

Xiaomi Mi a2 lite or spend a bit more and get a Nokia x6 (6.1 plus) ?

Redmi Note 5 Global

Mi A2

Wasn't there a problem with it having poor earphone quality?

My 1,5 year xiaomi redmi note 3 pro is going to explode or catch fire one day!
Battery is going bad (it bent my screen and back panel)
I could replace battery but can't wait for a month to get new one from chinks

What phone would Jow Forums recommend for music and shitposting?
would be nice with replacable battery (easier to get new one) at 4000mAh

Attached: 1509127350293.jpg (540x635, 124K)

>matching xiaomi smartwatch
Are these useful? Do they have heart rate monitors, pedometers? Can you post a mini-review if you own one?

>Tmobile only with new line and through 24 months.
So it's not 199.

Didn't Sharp have a smartphone with the speaker integrated into the screen years ago? Why can't Apple and these other major manufacturers do that instead of making a shitty notched screen?

Mi A1 had hissing problems. It wasn't worth it since the Redmi Note 5 was released. You can increase the volume through ViPER4Android, along with other tweaks. Mi Max 3 has dual speakers and it's promising as well.

Any Galaxy J7 users? Wondering about the experience, seems like a good deal.

>would be nice with replacable battery (easier to get new one) at 4000mAh
Sadly not a thing past the V20, but 4000 mAh batteries are not a problem.

Upgrading to Galaxy SO (Base), good choice or wait for Pixel 3?

God damn autocorrect (yada yada phoneposting)
*S9

It's not what you think it is :^)

>not a thing past the V20
I bet they're doing this on purpose to sell more phones and not because
>muh slimness

hm... I can get redmi note 5 from local store for ~217€
pretty much same specs but 4GB RAM instead of 6GB
probably gonna get that one
thanks user

J7 2016 here still going strong.

Nice, thank you, did it come with headphones like the main line?

If you prefer fast updates down the line for at least 2 to 3 years, wait for the Pixel 3.

If you prefer notchless display, headphone jack: go for the S9 or even better S9+.

I got the moto g5s plus 32 gig edition (yes the eurocuck version) and I think It's already slowing down. How much did I cuck myself by buying a 32gb phone? storage is only 52% full

S9+. Don't buy the base S9

gadgetsnow.com/compare-mobile-phones/LG-V20-vs-Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-5

The LG V20 seems to have better specs compared to Redmi 5

what's the go-to budget smartphone atm? looking for something that'll be supported for many years

G3 is on it's death bed, had a decent run.
My choices are between s9+(exynos version), oneplus 6 and waiting for note 9... Pixel 2 isn't an option due to overpricing. How's the battery life on s9+?

Also, why do some(most) web pages run so shitty on chrome android?

Nokia 6.1

or get the cheaper nokia 7 plus, also, i thought pixel phones these days were made by lg and lg phones have a reputation for being poorly manufactured and developing problems.

>How much did I cuck myself
About 48%

> Pixel 2 isn't an option due to overpricing.
> Waiting for Note 9

128gb pixel 2 xl costs 1300€

What phone?

If you have something that doesn't have shitty single core performance there is no issue, which means SD650+ and SD820+.

Unfortunately if you have a SD625 phone we pages gonna suck in chrome, hopefully you didn't fall for that "SD625 performs the same" meme

Really? My carrier is offering to take £200 off the deposit for the base s9

Oh actually never mind, the s9+ is also discounted

It also has one really special feature thanks to LG - an inevitable bootloop.
Certainly not a phone with a locked bootloader.

Reason why?
t. almost sold on regular s9

bigger battery is all i can think of

There is no reason. Dual cameras and 6"+ is dumb.

You are paying $100-150 more for an second camera that goes 2x optical zoom and let's you take those gay ”bokeh" images. That's it. The phone is almost 0.5" larger as well. There is no point in the s9+

Too much for the poor build quality of samsung phones.

Is Samsung even Android? It's practically a distant cousin and that's it

All smartphones these days look identical
What do you look for in a phone?

Good value for money and no hardware gimmicks.

wheres the guy who bought p20 pro
hows bandori?

Which/one?

Attached: allphones.jpg (830x332, 40K)

Which / one?

Attached: samsung-galaxy-s-2010-to-s9-2018-evolution.jpg (650x394, 62K)

I bought the S9+ last week and it arrives in the mail today.

What should I expect?

Whats wrong with hardware gimmicks? If they work i like unique features.

Shit

the thinner one... but it bends
maybe the thick one

>Whats wrong with hardware gimmicks
Just that - being gimmicks and serving no actual purpose, while also introducing downsides. Curved screen edges, overglorified cutouts (notches), pop-up cameras, glass backs and many more. None of these are entirely practical or even demanded by the users.

- 4.6 inch screen or smaller
- $200 or less, new
What's the best phone for me?

Attached: 1527297663720.jpg (800x800, 92K)

is fast charging really that important? or just a gimmick

It's definitely nice to have.

if you're constantly on the go, yes it's important

650 kangaroo bucks, I want top notch GPS and life proof., unlocked.
Second hand S8+ or brand new Nokia 8?

Attached: 1529548108189.png (544x638, 619K)

iPhone SE

>$200 or less, new
user please

Samsung really screwed over the base S9 users this time round. Not only do you not get the extra camera, and the extra ram but it's also not possible to take portrait shots with the regular S9.

The extra 2gb of ram makes a huge difference. Look at Note8 vs S8. The Note8 is faster and have smoother performance.

S9+ beats iPhone X and Pixel 2 in speedtests because of that extra ram.

Anyone have any experience buying "refurbished" phones? I really need to upgrade, but I don't have a ton of cash, so this sounds like an attractive option, but with the obvious complications of it possibly being a nightmarish waste of money

Attached: 1532803194749.png (636x476, 200K)

SE and this blue plastic one (C series if Im not miastekn)

Will the mi a2 lite sd625 survive 2 years till we hopefully get notchless full-screen phones?

What's the best phone I can buy for ~£100?

for me its the s9

Attached: 1533501555474.jpg (1000x1000, 1.35M)

You can get it under $200 if you're in the US

I'm not American, but I'm calling BS on that.
If I buy it with a contract, it could literally cost negative money. No memes.
