Useless CoC, who the fuck speak about non tech things in an OS community?
I will never fathom why the meme of code of conducts bothers so many of Jow Forumsturds.
It just a few lines of text that has a long-term effect of securing any project from scrutiny of some random dumbass because the people in charge effectively "washed their hands" before any chance of said scrutiny even occured.
It doesn't cost anything to put, it doesn't cost any time to make up (you really just copy-paste it), it doesn't consume any project's resources (unless you think that a few hundred bytes of text on your webpage is a lot to spare) at all because merely putting a code of conduct does not mean you suddenly are obliged to hire a well-paid "diverity officer" to manage your project.
"We include everyone regardless" was always a key element of FOSS.
grow the fuck up
i had a dream, today that dream was taken away

This is satire, right?
I'm sorry that you have to hear this, but vidya and mainstream tech has always been shit.
The problem isn't with resource spending or being inclusive. If your project is inherently neutral, people won't give two fucks about your sexuality, gender, bodysize, whateverthefuck.
The problem is with the kind of people that have a tendency of pushing shit like this. Pushing diversity as if it will magically improve the project, hiring "diversity officers" and wasting everyone's time by attempting to make everyone stop using "slave" because muh american slavery as if it has anything to do with writing code.
It's pushing stupid, completely irrelevant shit into things where it has no place being.
>f your project is inherently neutral, people won't give two fucks about your sexuality, gender, bodysize, whateverthefuck.
They absolutely will because to them, being indifferent is just as bad as being the "oppressor".
I suppose you haven't worked in tech in any highly liberal area.
>diversity is our strength
sure it isn't
>implying fat people are human
