I thought the olive and silver themes actually looked pretty nice. Also has my favorite icons, everything earlier is too pixelated and everything after became too shiny. And now were stuck with boring flatshit silhouettes of icons.

I genuinely feel like Windows XP was the last version of windows to be "designed"
Everything since has just been the "designers" lying to their corporate bosses about how much better these expensive arbitrary changes make the user experience, in an effort to keep their jobs.
PC design language peaked in the early 2000's, but designers will always have to keep their jobs. Therefore they will always be doing arbitrary shit.
