Battlestation Thread /bst/

interesting, when I demo'd the LS50s at a friend's place I personally found them a tad bright. Though I guess 5 years will get your ears accustomed to that. I don't blame you on finding the bass dull tho, anything below 50Hz sounded rolled to hell. If you ever give the design a chance again, see if you can try the active versions of them. I've heard they did some pretty insane dsp work and amping to push those drivers lower.

yeah that's basically what i meant, they are harsh and i want sweet highs, the qx-2 and iloud micro monitors i use now, enable me that.

i'd like to try active but i can't justify selling my amp for dirt cheap and the pricing seems a bit over the top for what you actually get

It makes me sad that grown men live like this.

Cool setup, but the paint is coming off your OSB table.
Great room.
Elegant and modern.
Is this your private room or office?
I cringed hard.
Looks like Eastern Europe. You know those apartment houses built in the USSR era.
This one is so over the top it's good.

If you can't get the floor fixed have you thought about a rug?

Carpets tend to produce a lot of dust and they're hard to clean. What I would suggest is laying floorboards with light hue (maple, ash, larch) on a thin layer of insulation.

Huge waste of an amazing room. It's like you have the physique of Schwarzenegger and decide to become a trap
