no. those are outdated as fuck, I have a T60 and the damn thing can barely run linux at this point. Also they're insanely heavy.
You either go for the last classic memepads (xx30 series) or the last non-botnet memepads (x200, t400, etc). Keyboard autists usually just replace the xx30 keyboard with the xx20 one, they're compatible.

yeah, those details can be annoying but there are also advantages of the xx30 keyboard, like the light function being fn+space so you can switch it with one hand and also the fact that there are backlit xx30 keyboards. The thinklight is cute but backlit is way better IMO.

I have a t530 that's actually heavier but it comes with a core i7, a dGPU and a big display so it's worth the effort. Most T60 lappies have a fucken core 2 duo and a 1024x768 display.

I personally hate backlight for how it bleeds all over the keyboard. I suppose it's a bit better with chiclet style keyboards because then it only lights up the contour of the key and doesn't actually bleed all over, but I still don't like how it looks. But then I don't use thinklight either.

15" T60's display is actually a bit bigger than that of 15.6" T530 due to more squarish aspect ratio. And SXGA+ and UXGA versions do exist.

I still can't stomach the new layout of the keyboard.

Fuck those Home/End keys I can't blindly reach them. PageUp/Down, I can live with them where they are. Also fuck the F keys not being separated AT ALL, and I have to look at them, I can't feel any F key. FUCK

But at least the keystrokes feel very nice. And the laptop is just FINE for normal work.

I wish they'd just make the old 7 row keyboards again as standard, and not as a special edition. If something works, JUST KEEP IT, don't downgrade it! Jeez
