WTFFFF how do I download trap porn in that??

idk why i didn't stop using it sooner. just switched to qbittorrent and it's marvelous. but i gotta admit, utorrent is simple as shit to use.

Because 90% of Jow Forums is completely artistic

it just works

Because I'm pirating Office not cp

because there are actual malware developers on Jow Forums that keep shilling utorrent 2.2.1, which is full of security holes, so they have more potential targets.

Well, you can use older versions, there is no botnet in them.

Because most of the 19 years old boomers here actually don't know anything about computers. They just like gaming, and their mom interprets all the time they spend in from their pc as "being good with computers". Having nothing else in life they cling to this identity of a computer wiz, even though they struggle to understand basic stuff.

It works.

This is on 10Mbit.

Because there was a time when it was good. You have no idea how refreshing it was to come from something as bloated and shitty as Azureus and start using a small, lightweight bittorrent client. uTorrent was genuinely awesome from around 2005-2010. Things started going downhill in 2010 with the addition of the Conduit bullshit. In 2011, after years of uTorrent saying "we are free, don't be tricked into paying for uTorrent", all of the sudden a "premium" version was offered for $20 or so. For me, the final straw was the addition of ads in 2012. As soon as that happened, I switched to Deluge and haven't looked back. Since then things have only gotten worse with the addition of cryptocurrency mining without user consent, the MPAA association, fucking terrible security and the general cesspit of malware. Even Microsoft is now targeting uTorrent itself as malware.

But the thing is, it's tough to kill a name, especially among people who don't know any better. uTorrent built a well-deserved name for itself and as a result it became one of the most widely installed BT clients. It doesn't matter that it's been shit for most of its life at this point, people still remember the initial years and still associate all sorts of goodwill with that.

I don't understand why anyone would use a proprietary torrent client.

Ah I see the qB dev is here. How many more bug fixes before you're finally finished?
It's a torrent client, not an OS. uTorrent 2.2.1 is 391k and even includes a Tetris easter egg with that. Why are you up to 20MB and you still haven't nailed down basic torrenting?

I see you didn't get the "gifted" form of autism.

Stop shilling.

oh, thank you kind sir, would you mind visiting my facebook page where I post my drawings?

Why are there retards who still torrent instead of uploading and sharing their pirated media/software on Mega or Openload? Http downloading is objectively better

Because 95% of Jow Forums is wintoddlers who think they're tech-savvy because they learned how to make a "hardcore virus zomg" in batch on YouTube. Same applies for VLC.

P2P is not subject to download limits or takedowns.

uSerenity leecher mod

http downloading is utter shit. Takedowns etc, plus you can put http mirrors into a torrent file and the client will use them if they are faster.

OP, why do you bother posting this question, when the answer is staring at you?

explain

You clearly have no idea how torrenting works or why it’s superior.

it's an evil IRC client that lies about how much it uploads etc to try and get the fastest downloads. Once upon a time when torrent clients used shitty algorithms for assigning resources to nodes it worked quite well, nowadays while it still works it makes little difference. There are a bunch of these clients floating around btw, there was a whitepaper published that explains how this works better than I can.

evil torrent client*

deluge is comfy. haven't tried anything else because it just werkz

post speedtest

I just now changed out my cable modem which seems to have given me another 1Mbps. Woohoo, 1.4MB/s is flying compared to 1.3.

Now I just hope it maintains it when I switch to the router.

how is 1.4 any different than 1.3

Based Transmission.

i visited an old friend the other day and he had utorrent full screen and it had ads !

omg i actually threw up in mouth a little

has it got any better since the creator got back control of it?

What are you talking about? uTorrent 2.2.1 is just uTorrent 2.2.1. Same as it's always been.

>S T A L L E D
top kek

>deluge is comfy. haven't tried anything else because it just werkz

this a million times

Most of those don’t apply to 2.2.1

lol i have nearly identical stats in sf. im using the default modem and an edgerouter x atm. im going to replace the shit modem if i upgrade my service, but ill probably need a faster router then

>Thinking people are going to design free software with no data gathering whatsoever so they don't make any money.

That's not how business works you spergs.

Where's the torrent search function in your trashware?

1 has all I want

What does your torrent client come up with for a DVD ISO of Nau Do Gyarah (1957)?

>doesn't bug

Just werks and it can handle my assload of torrents.
>Not using 2.2.1 and turning net.discoverable off
