What the HECK happened?

Technically it wasn't intended to be open source hardware when it first came out. Libreboot wasn't initially released until late 2013.

thinkpad x31 is the best thinkpad

I have an X60s with 3GB of ram, and even with 10+ tabs open in FF I still have 1GB to spare.

open two YouTube tabs and your laptop will crash

Hurr durr it works for me

The X60s is not my daily driver (although it could be if I needed too). I have an X200 with 8GB of ram, although I rarely push over 4GB.

No, it doesn't. I've multiple youtube pages open.

Hurr durr I fell for le 64GB ram meme

I use my X61t daily and being unable to upgrade really sucks, for some reason there isn't an upgrade available from this thing even after ten years.
It's not even a money issue, shit just doesn't exist.

bunch of fucking underageb&

you can browse the web fine with 10 tabs on 128 MB of ram. software is so shit and getting shittier by the year, if you use windows or ubunto you need to double your ram every 5 years despite doing the exact same task

>you can browse the web fine with 10 tabs on 128 MB of ram.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
go back to ricing your arch, neckbeard

I bet you can make better software in C :-)

disabling js, videos and images doesn't count as browsing the web

you don't have to be a chef to be a food critic

I would worry more about cpu power than ram desu.
I have 4 on an x61s and it has serious issues with xfce and two streams open at the same time. I started using i3 today and it's seemed to alleviate some of the problems.

>I have 4 on an x61s and it has serious issues with xfce and two streams open at the same time.
But i also have 4GB and i'm using 3.3 right now with 15 tabs open in firefox, a YT video, photoshop, ms office and paused mpv.
X61t running W7 btw.

Get a T400 with T9900, should be fast enough
Cache and MHz!!!

> X61 flimsy as shit

>Open Source Hardware
I'm coding myself a new CPU ATM

I think that's just a random image OP found of an X60s. No one could be that retarded to use chrome on a librebooted thinkpad.

I've never had an issue with xfce, not sure why switching de's would effect youtube
