because I didn't buy one.

Because the case I wanted wasn't rack mountable.

normal tower works just fine

Because I am the proud owner of a Thinkpad.
*tips trillby*

I don't have a rack

But I have 5 full racks downstairs.

no rack and i get sick pricing on normie shit through work

I don't have a rack.

I don't need a server and I do my backups on BD.

Shit airflow at low and even high db / cfm

Because I won't have a rack until some sketchy guy off Craigslist delivers one today.

A mid-tower is more accessible and has more quiet, adequate Cooling.

Because my case is good enough.

just lay a normal case on its side dumbo

Thats not gonna fit in a rack

if i had a wood shop i would build a case from hardwood, make it look nice like a piece of furniture

Racks are ugly as shit.

...

I'll build a hidden desk pc that uses rackmount someday

sorry, but I think the whole cucking/NTR thing is mostly a fad that will blow over, OP

+1

Implying I'm not?

I'm using a case mounted on my enormous rack.

>Shit airflow at low and even high db / cfm
>airflow
Airflow doesn't really matter when the server room is 5*C.

>rackmount
>shit airflow
fucking idiot

Good taste.

>Not using stacked full sized 1U
Shit taste.

I actually had one. It got replaced, not the correct format.

The design is a bit too garish for my tastes.

YOU have 30 seconds to explain why I should be using a rackmount case.

Its like you ignored half my post or something wow

Because I am concerned about cooling issues and noise

because no rack

But I do user.

>desktop

You have 30 seconds to explain why I should as a home user, you shitposting faggot.

>presses power button
>jet plane sounds

I want one. I want to put my daily use machine, my storage server, and all my networking shit in a rack. Problem is that I don't have the space or the money to buy good shit. Not to mention (((the missus))) would throw a fucking fit.

>all rackmount cases have 20mm 6000RPM fans, even the ones that could fit 120mm fans like it's nothing

>You have 30 seconds to explain why you're not using a rackmount case.
Because I have no intention of mounting my workstation in a rack.

>rackmount case
just buy a real server you poorfag

KEK

no rack

where does the rack go

I found an Eaton full height sitting on the side of the road. Wih shelves and cable management.

Because I am always in a search for smaller and tighter components. I don't want some loud ass giant pc in my office. Small and powerful is where it is as and new tech allows for it.

Cool gaymer case. Look you can see my fans... Wheeeee... I wonder why women won't talk to me.

Because I don't have a rack and I can't afford it.

because none of them are really configured for standard motherboards and or are too long and include lots of features that aren't necessary for a regular desktop.

yes, i HAVE fucking thought about it. a lot. continued for my actual computer that i wanted to rackmount.

dude 'racks' are cheap af.

one can only imagine the amount of work that doesn't get done on that setup

fuck you i'm way better

Yeah, especially the shipping. :^)

im not gay : /

yeah actually amazon

But that isn't Fractal Design?

People give the fuckers away on Craigslist.

Amazon didn't ship it yet the kikes

I don't have nor need a rack.

Because I got a full tower. Much more space, easier to build in, a removable back panel for cable management, able to mount a 360" radiator, no need to find a place to stash a rack, ect.
Full towers are the way to go.

racks are expensive

I don't want to accidentally slice my pecker off.

NO THEY ARE NOT

WORK IS FOR COCKSUCKING FAGGOTS I NEVER WORK I NEVER WILL I WILL NEVER DO WORK I WILL NEVER WORK FOR FIVE MINUTES I WILL NEVER WORK FOR ONE MINUTE WORK IS FOR HOMOSEXUAL FUCKING FAGGOT NANCY BOY PUSSIES, WORK IS FOR SLAVE FAGGOT FUCKING KIKE BITCHES

show me a rack that is cheap and not on craigslist
im in a rural area and craigslist is awful

Because my servers have all been consolidated to a repurposed ideapad since the A8 in it outperforms the P4 era xeon in my old rack mount server. The 32GB of DDR3 outperforms the 32GB of DDR2 from the server, etc. So I retired the rack server due to its obsolescence.

im pretty sure theres an issue with the tracking, every site i've ordered stuff from this week has not kept the tracking up to date, they'd leave everything out until the last day and then it would all show up.

didn't get a decent one used for 20€

Never mind, I got and assembled the rack. Now I have no excuse.

Attached: avatar.jpg (1497x1770, 462K)

because I prefer mini itx cases

Source on that wallpaper?

2 day shipping my ass

Whatever, at least I get another free month of Prime out of this

its stucco

because i dont have a rack

you can get one of those uATX 2U cases, those aren't very deep. Youll have low-profile slots and only a few 80mm fans, but with a 65W CPU and no graphics cards its easy to make it work.

>he only has one computer

I was referring to the computer wallpaper.

>racks are expensive

>

on amazon or anywhere else a decent rack case is the same or lower than a shitty mid tier mid atx or micro build

she isnt real user

it's nazi

its nazi

>says who

But guess what, my servers not a rackmount either. It doesn't need to be. Gains absolutely nothing by being in a rack.

rack case + rack is too expensive
i could just get a regular good case for less than half of that and then i dont have part restrictions

I do have one and regret it. Airflow is terrible unless you have high rpm fans which makes it loud as fuck. Also it's very heavy so moving it is more of a pain when you eventually have to.

360 INCH RAD?!?!? IS YOU COMPUTER A FULL BLOWN FUCKIN DIESEL TRUCK
it's 360mm man

I wasn't original guy with pic and this isn't original pic but I made somethin kinda sorta like it

Attached: notopofpicbutfeltbadsomadeuone.jpg (1280x720, 585K)

I don't have space for a rack that wouldn't be taken up by my gunpla

2noisy4me

i'm not an austistic retard neet who needs Jow Forums for approval in order to not kms

Not enough hardware to justify a rack (yet)

Prove it. Post rack and ass or GTFO

But it will fit up your ass

It also supports a neat amount of harddrives and another GPU for extra offloaded calculation (NN-sims, rendering)

Sorry, freedom units are hard. Why are you still stuck on those non-standard hard to remember numbers?

I have a rackmount server

dubs of truth
