Try putting a dry one on it for the same amount of time

Put it in rice
Eks deeee

>How do i fix it?
by buying a new monitor
you can avoid this issue by not putting wet towels on electronics

gentle hair drier you absolute spastic chimp

Guys I put my PC in the bathtub to watercool it while gaming, why isn't it turning on?

>Put it in rice
>Eks deeee
That's a lot of rice LMFAOOO

You got liquid in the crystal matrix. Its warped. Either try to vapor it out with a towel + iron (dont melt it) or just give up and join us in LMAO at your pathetic life.
get a CRT. They don't have this probem.

retard

You don't. Now you've learned the hard way that you don't use your expensive elctronics as a fucking clothes drying rack.

I bought it month ago paid 600$ not gonna buy new one

then enjoy looking at it, cos it isn't going away

liquid got inbetween the layers of the lcd, tldr buy a new one

Good job dumbshit

can i get RMA? i'll say i dindu nuffin

Zoomer got pwned.

Put a wet towel over the rest of the monitor to even it out.

it wasnt that wet i wouldnt have put it if i knew it was wet. it was bairly wet at one spot that i didnt notice

Yea sure it won't be totally obvious that you are a fucking moron. If I were you I'd use it as a fake window, cause that's all it is good for now, and learn what you can and can't do with your toys.

>I put wet towel on my monitor for couple hours
Sending you to wouldn't even make a difference, since you would still be a mouth breather.

You dense piece of shit. Breakin' shit and then cry about it. Suck it up. buy a new one or live with it.
That's what life is about.

For you :-----DDD

Is that shit caused by moisture? I've had a big ass spot like that creeping across my monitor slowly getting bigger for months, and no I didn't put a towel on it.

yes very little needed sir

oh a wet blanket this time, user?

>obvious water damage
idundunuffin
lmao

>I put wet towel on my monitor for couple hours
what the fuck is wrong with you

just put a hot iron on that spot

>I put wet towel on my monitor for couple hours
You are supposed to bathe with your tech not giving it towels.
Do not forget to plug it in.
It's been a month bro. Unless the manufacturer has their own separate warranty the best you're going to get with is a partial refund and/or a repair fee.

Please provide an explanation for why you placed a wet towel on your monitor for a couple of hours.

Well now you have a $600 life lesson.

OP is a ______

looks like a flooded LED pixel

fuckin millennial, take responsibility

these guys are fuckin with you, put it in oven for a an hour on 350 and it'll go back to normal....
happened to me once man

me again, and post pics so these youngins learn a few things

Yes
Washing your electrons, bits and bytes your flips and flops is very important.

put it in your microwave for a minute.
if you have an older microwave without a "monitor" setting, user "pork".

Why did you put a wet towel on it

you need to put a wet towel over the whole thing evenly for a couple hours to even it out

>and this appeared
That's a cursor and it's supposed to be there.

I mean just judging by the cursor being there the screen doesn't seem broken. It could be your computer.

this happened to my monitor once when my gf squirted pee on it while we were fucking while watching porn and I mostly fixed it by blowing hot air on it with a hair dryer for a few minutes.

Yes. I solved this by putting my monitor in a room with a dehumidifier running for a while. (this didn't really do anything). Finally sucked it up and bought $100 of silica gel, put my monitor in the oven with them for 24 hours and when I took it out all was fixed

Just turn on Vsync.

>Throws a wet rag on a new monitor
This is the reason everything is built like shit, and companies can get away with planned obsolescence. Because no one takes care of their shit anymore, and then just expect to be able to have someone else eat the cost. Christ, I know niggers that aren't as shiftless as most millennials.

Why?

Attached: 1534193560086.jpg (337x290, 56K)

RMA implies manufacturer

Usually 1yr minimum on computer electronics

When anything appears that shouldn't be there I usually smack it a few times until it is gone.

You're a stupid fucking faggot and I hope you die.

Calm down, incel.

hard learner

Why do you out shit on your monitor you absolute retard

Because of the odd watery shape of it, I was thinking water damage in the light spreader. Pretty much hopeless, but at least it isn't columns of stuck pixels like I've seen on water damaged LCDs.

so it'll catch on fire?

I used CRTs for ages. One died of focus issues. Another got its green gun stuck on. Yet another had a weird firmware corruption thing. None ever caught fire.

Have you placed wet towels on them for extended periods of time?

it's turned on but the monitor knows you're not watching so you have to jump into the bathtub with it, then a spark of magic will happen

No, but they don't get as hot as a clothes dryer and that doesn't start a fire.

Underrated post

>then a spark of magic will happen

so why did op put a wet towel on his new monitor? what the fuck

mine had a dry cat draped over it constantly

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Put it in the oven, 200C for 10 minutes. Will be as good as new when it comes out.

Just replace the screen, faggot

I was painting the room so i had to cover up quickly. Fuck you all dumb faggots give real advice

The device is a fucking screen, so yes I suppose replacing it would fix the problem.

it still has 5 year warranty will they replace it?

Yeah, for almost 600 bux

you could try dismantling it, placing just the display assembly in a sealed container along with rice/silica gel/some other moisture absorber for a few days in a warm/dry area (NOT in sunlight) and hope for the best
dismantling the monitor will void your warranty for sure
you could try to RMA it, but they'll most likely say "you fucked it, buy a new one", it's clearly water damage

Put it in salt/

Damage due to idiocy is usually not covered.

This is hilarious, you fucked up the the anti glare layer on your monitor. It's like the monitor equivalent of accidentally delidding your cpu.
is right. Might as well remove the rest of the AG film.

Attached: fYs7g.jpg (1440x1080, 475K)

Goddamn you're stupid.

This is overkill. Water evaporates at 212 (is that right? Holy fuck it’s been a while since I took chem) fuckin use celcius and set oven to 101, then put monitor in on a nonstick bake sheet lined with parchment paper, rear side up, for like 5 minutes at a time

>lcd monitor irreversibly fucked from just a few hours of increased moisture
>you're using it wrong hahah look at this retard not coddling his devices
>protective film/coating of apple displays chemically reacting with certain chemicals within some household cleaner
>oh wow applelcucks btfo can't even bleach their monitor display

/thread

I would unironically consider putting it in a bag of rice overnight.

how many times has this happened to you, user. be honest.

Came in to post this. Might as well peel the rest of it off, because you sure as hell can't fix it, OP.

I think its slowly fading off

Attached: 20180815_144515.jpg (4032x3024, 3.55M)

Quick, it needs another wet towel. Don't let it dry out.

Kek

>tfw always clean my monitors with a wet cloth
A bit scared now.

Water can and does evaporate at lower temps. Do you boil your clothes to dry them? Fucking water triple point is almost 0°C.

but remember to turn it counterclockwise as to not disturb the pixel rest frequency

Why the fuck do you put wet shit on electronics you moron

OP next time put the poop jugs on top of it instead.

Attached: kekkk.jpg (480x360, 23K)

1. I’m talking about an oven (dry heat) not boiling (wet heat).

2. This was obviously a troll post since I’m talking about baking electronics and not actual science.

3. Based on your reactions to this post you’re most definitely autistic and unaware, so I’m letting you know you’re officially diagnosed and you should work on being not so retarded

then, no pc for you, kiddo, appreciate what you buy, dont put wet things in electronics

Why would you put a wet towel on a $600 monitor?

t. Boomer

Not unless you have it insured
