Yeah but only posting the scripts won't make it possible to people to play the game and/or fork it. The scripts will only be a part of the game, not the whole. So how do you open source and publish work that is more than code? How can anyone fork a godot game? Do I just release the project file and all the assets and scripts and dependencies?

You fork the game by opening the project in Godot and making modifications. Godot is the compiler in this case.

Yeah, it was kind of unwieldy, and there was only one track in the game.
It's cool to say I've played it, though. There's not much else reason to touch the arcade port.
