UI/UX is easy as long as you follow current standards and patterns. If you go your own way you are most likely fucking it up, or you are actually really good and are working hard.

The problem with following the current standards is that the results really seem to suck. Big Web platforms like Facebook or Google have interfaces that are bad organized. (Facebook in particular is a fucking mid-2000s internal CMS-tier nightmare to work with. I don't know how normalfags tolerate it.) Medium hates its readers. Windows 10 is schizo. Windows has been schizo with interface duplication since Vista and turbo-schizo since 8. Apple's modern UI peaked with Tiger or maybe Snow Leopard. Linux DEs are at best passable knock-offs of others DEs.

Following those standards is like buying IBM. You do it so you won't get fired if something goes wrong, and that's it.

Sort of not really.
I've never done UI/UX professionally, but I'm trained in designs and shit.
But like a lot of interfaces that come out these days follow a really shit philosophy. You could follow this if you want to stray from the norm, knowing your solution might not even make the cut.

Being able to actually evaluate the UX from a consumer standpoint really helps. Like just don't think that it works for you it will work for everyone else.

It's a mixture of both. If they're in a tech or illustration or 3D art asset position it's a tossup whether they are going to be skilled (the trannies often are); if they're HRs or marketing or "develop communications" or "community management" (glorified forum mods), expect no skills, not even people skills.

Usually initiate women in X means put friends,family or ex classmates as new employers.

UX is basically web design with psychology and consistency involved. I've met a ton of fake UX designers and a few genuine ones, the genuine ones focus on user testing, A/B testing, wireframing and user theory long before they decide on how the thing is going to look.

I don't care what mobile-friendly design is because I don't use a tablet to browse the internet. However, I know what a GOOD design is, implementing separate layouts for mobile, and for desktop use, which clearly they're too lazy to do.
