20gb total
double 8
double 2
gotta use them spare slots

Jokes on you, I have but 6 GB of Random Access Memory

I have 12. First I bought 2 4GB sticks and later I bought another 4GB stick planning to buy another one later to complete 16GB.
But then it started to feel like 12GB is enough for me.

512MB reporting in.

8GB DDR3 reporting in, feel bad man, need more

4gb here. Perfect for my needs.

4gb ram 1.7 ghz masterrace

12gb upgraded from 8 its enough for now

32gb because mini-itx (no more slots for ram upgrade) and I run some VM.

1 gb of ram from shitty amazon tablet here

>flight is still 4 hours away
>both ip7 and macbook are designated as "for company use" and is too chickenshit to use them for Jow Forums/porn

Being middle management corporate warrior is suffering

16gb ddr3
I'll get a whole new system with at least 32gb when ddr5 comes out.

when do you expect ddr5 available

Not him but I'm thinking 2020 or 2021

Specs?

fuck you nigger, you stole it

stole what?

32gb on my new i9 MacBook Pro. Never gone above 20gb usage even with dedicating 8 to a virtual machine and running some heavy stuff natively. Still no regrets

24 gb are just fine for me.

what do you even do with that much ram

>@1066MHz

Is your cpu an i5 4210U ?

who cares, it's shitty anyway
humans use only i7, subhumans use everything else (ryzen included)

they are all the same shit, there is not much difference between i5 and i7.
hell, an i5 is made in exactly the same way as an i7 it is only called an i5 due to binning
generation means much more than the number after the letter i

I got 16 gb 2133mhz from a friend for 50 euroschekels from a friend, so I just took what I had, I don't want to buy ddr4 3200mhz for twice the normal price from kikes.

i would honestly prefer the 16gb @2.1GHz to the 24GB @1GHz

large bitmaps in either 16bits or 32bits per channel

It's dual channel, brainlet.

It is at 2133mhz, it just gets displayed as 1066mhz in speccy, when I only had 8gb ddr4 2933mhz it got displayed as 1666mhz. I thought everyone this was the ways speccy displays things.

Nice.

Is that something you use as a daily driver? I feel like a browser would destroy memory in a heartbeat.

How's your computer so far, ol'geezer?

I did for a while for "fun." Any machine that can run ssh is fine for getting work done, but browsers were quite painful, yes.

One of my 16GB sticks is on RMA but normally I have 32.

where is that frog standing

32gb is for plebs, 64gb for dual channel boards, 128gb for quad channel.

Content creator or just want to keep them tabs open?

Singapore

16Gb in the gaymen machine
64Gb in the workstation/VM/server machine

None of you are old enough to remember SD RAM or older, so I don't know why this is still so confusing to people. The explanation is right there, in the name.

Only 2GB and 8GB?

>all these cucks saying 8-16gb is enough

poorfags in denial, 32gb is the norm these days.

?
Single 16Gb stick. Workstation is all 8Gb sticks (ECC)

I don't think you know what "the norm" means.
The norm is 4GB 1366x768 shittops.

The most I've utilized was 18, and that was with like 100 tabs open, large photoshop files open, a game, and a whole bunch of applications. Honestly doesn't seem worth it in hindsight, but I guess its nice if I ever decide to do something more ram hungry.

>Single 2GB stick. Workstation is all 1GB sticks (ECC)

64 GB of DDR4 RAM and 22 GB of VRAM. SLI is completely useless so I am thinking about selling the second card and buying a Vega so I can switch between my nvidia and AMD cards when I want to use virtualization. 64 GB is a meme and I should sell the other 4 sticks, however, since I bought it as a kit I highly doubt it'd be that easy to sell.

I don't know what you're doing but it's not funny.

4GB reporting in

I use w520 and 32gb RAM.

b == bit
B == byte

8GB here and can play vidya, edit my music tracks, and edit high res video files just fine. What kind of faggot needs more than 8GB?

How's that nuclear power plant in your lap?

I have 8 + 16 (laptops) + 32 GB (desktop). also, many more 4GB DDR3 modules. how does that make you feel?

>DDR3

Amused.

Some games do push right at 8GB and sometimes beyond (seen certain survival open world games push past 12GB), so 16GB is nice to have on a games console computer. This all depends on what you do with your computer ofc. I'm sure there are people here that would be just fine with 1GB.

24 GB

Yes, still dual channel you ignorant fucks.

>Some games do push right at 8GB

Even cod ww2 does.

16 + 32 GB DDR4
the DDR3 ones are for my NUCs

4*2 + 8*2. Isn't that hard. I like it when people start raging at LGA1366 folks for having a memory configuration suitable for triple channel.

I think a 6+12GB setup would be nice for speccy threads.

>fedora
*tip*

Can I has 4GB DDR3 modules?

Love speccy.

>he dosnt have a 8gb 1366x768 thinkpad x230

>tfw wraith spire blocks my first ram slot

You can't video 8k

>32gb
I don't know what a gb is but I have 32 GiB of ECC RAM.

>he fell for the ECC meme
Data error is rarer than the chance you're getting laid

Why do you need more of that?

Attached: IMG-20180813-WA0016.jpg (540x540, 45K)

you are just wasting watts, enjoy your power bill

Is half the bandwidth enough for you?

Hardly any price difference. And when looking at the used market, ECC RDIMMs and the Xeons that supports them tend to be much cheaper than your regular gaming parts.

cute

The newer games require min 8 gb of ram, sooner or later this will change to 12 or 16gb.

I was just playing Monster Hunter World (ie optimized crap) and it never used more than 1.5GB of RAM, I think the only reason they push 8GB is for the VRAM swap space

i have 2 gigs :(
maybee u kud donate sum?

Count me in

Do you know if throttling has been fixed in boot camp too?

Looking at buying a new Mac but need to be able to use Windows as well.
