Why she's not doing anything to stop Nvidia's monopoly over the industry?

Why she's not doing anything to stop Nvidia's monopoly over the industry?
Is it because they are literally blood related? Shouldn't this be a fucking crime?

Maybe it is not economical to make better drivers.

>Shouldn't this be a fucking crime
Why would it? both are private companies not gov entities. Anyway 7nm vega is coming soon and it will be great for gnu/linux users as long amd wont somehow botch it horribly. Nvidia is nono post kepler

Didn't they teach you that you do things in step. First target is intel.

R&D for high-end GPU's is very expensive and AMD is a much smaller company than Nvidia. She basically had to make a choice whether to focus resources on Zen or the GPU division and chose the former because outlook was better. Tough choice but it had to be done.

Because hitting Intel where it hurts (Big Dick Seven) is much, much more profitable than family feud that is AMD versus NV.

AMD and nVidia are both little guys compared to Intel. It doesn't make any sense for them to attack each other when they have a much more powerful common enemy.

Not exactly common enemy, since nVidia has no place in Intel's market.
CPU market is just many times bigger than GPU market could've ever been so AMD targeted that.

They don't have the R&D power to compete with NVidia

she's too busy making cushions

Intel and nVidia are competitors. They are both still trying to enter each other's primary markets, but they are still competing within the same pool of investors in the same industry.

>Intel and nVidia are competitors
Barely, mostly related to ML ambitions, so far.
>They are both still trying to enter each other's primary markets
No, NV is not making any CPUs that's for sure.

nvidia.com/object/tegra-4-processor.html

Not that they are any credible competition to Intel in the CPU market, hence "trying." But both companies would like to sell both CPUs and GPUs for all applications (desktop, mobile, server, etc.).

Everyone with half a brain understands that Intel has exactly one competitor.

If Intel releasing defective CPUs is perfectly fine then so is this.

>Shouldn't this be a fucking crime?
>it's an overacting retard episode
calm down faggot, your mom not swallowing should have been a crime

rekt

You mean in x86-64 CPUs. Intel is a very large company that operates in many niches besides that one. Intel's largest competitor is actually Samsung, right now.

>You mean in x86-64 CPUs
That's the bulk of Intel's revenue.
The things that matter.
>Intel is a very large company that operates in many niches besides that one
All niche stuff, even networking.
Everyone knows Intel as THE x86 company for a reason.

DAT MOMMY SU SMILE.

I love it.

they're focused on their cpu business first

Their sources of revenue are diverse, like any company so large, and are mostly based on ongoing contracts with OEMs.

Soon CPUs will have more cores than GPUs.

GPUs are finished

You can clearly see x86 being 87% of the revenue.

x86 revenue != 100% * the sum of Client Computing Group and Data Center Group. Both of those categories also include all the other products and services Intel offers to end users and data center clients.

It's mostly x86.

Intel is entering the dgpu market in 2020 user

You are underestimating how far poojeet set them back

Entering =/= having any success.

based

>AMD bot

I can't find any breakdown of revenue that reveals that. I did find one that shows about 75% of revenue from "platform" sales to the client/data center groups, with the other 25% coming from adjacency and their other smaller groups. The Client and Data Center groups still comprise more than just processors though (network hardware, in particular). Directly selling CPUs is probably about half of Intel's annual revenue.

>ryzen threadripper 4950WRXQSTPXZJ has 1024/2048 c/t

Their 7nm Vega is there. But the "fine wine" needs a fresh wine. The old one is rotting.

For a company worth as much as Intel, entering means a lot.

>they are literally blood related
Is this nigga trolling or just racist?

>entering means a lot.
of failure.

pajeet might get everyone's hopes up again but i'm expecting blue vega, or maybe even worse since intel have their own reputation for housefires already

>Is it because they are literally blood related?
Bitch you got me googlin' their names. How did I fall for this shit?

>Chink CEOs for both AMD and Nvidia
Where the white people at?

>Where the white people at?
in the basement designing the fucking chips

MUMMY SU

It is because discrete GPU market is about to become a shrinking niche and there's no big money in it (Even Nvidia knows this).

AMD RTG is going back to ATI's roots as a major provider for OEMs via iGPUs and semi-intergrated solutions.

Nvidia has been trying to diversify its high-end GPU designs into other applications besides professional graphics and gayming.

AMD JUST started actually competing with Intel so it will take some time, I don't even expect NABI to compete with Nvidia's high end, mid high end at best but that would be good for starters.

She made the right move investing in Ryzen, it's certainly paid off. No way they would've made the same returns had they poured more resources into Vega. Even if it was better Nvidia has always got the resources to counter them on ever move and will always ensure they keep the performance crown, even if it's a measly few percent, because 5 FPS more = BTFO in the manchild domain. Much better to concentrate on the mid to low market where the majority of sales are made. Let Nvidia keep the high end market to themselves and charge idiots $3000 for a Titan XXX.

JIZZ TIM POO JEWISH HOUSEFIRES HAHAHAAH

Until AMD starts using infinity fabric to make Radeon RX 666 with 20000 stream processors

Its just retards being gaslit.
Some third worlder under age kid on youtube made a video claimg that Su and leather jacket were related. An absolute brainlet put this as a source on wikipedia, and some dipshit spread it around Jow Forums for months.

They aren't related.

>Why she's not doing anything to stop Nvidia's monopoly over the industry?
Because AMD GPUs are shit, and have no hope of competing outside of semi-custom.
Vega was a hot disaster that AMD somehow hoped would best Volta, yet couldn't even beat the upper echelons of Pascal.
The entire professional side of things (hello margins), in CAD, HPC, even most editing software, sees significantly more support for CUDA than OpenCL.
Navi will be 2 years late. It won't compete on the high-end. At best it will compete with Nvidia's midrange ala Polaris. There's no telling whether or not it's going to have the hardware support for ray-tracing Nvidia already has.

Nvidia basically owns the market and is running with it. At this point Nvidia sees Intel as more of a threat than AMD.
