He still hasn't upgraded to windows 10

i have a Win 7 partition and last I used it was 4 months ago. i don't see the point in spending money on an OS i might use twice a year.

I have upgraded from windows 10 to windows 7.

Upgraded to 10. But windows 10 updates are so fucking awful I had to switch to Linux.
How awful you ask? I've had to completely restore from backup half a dozen fucking times! How does updating break everything this badly? FUCK WINDOWS 10!

Actually, it is more expensive to buy a new computer with windows 7. I had to buy 3 for my company a couple months back.

Everyone's been telling horror stories about 10 so I just didn't.

Also it took me until Microsoft stopped supporting XP entirely (~2014) to finally make the switch to 7 so I'm fine using it for now.

>re install 8.1, boot doesn't take more than 30 seconds
