Debian is nice. Why are you using such an old kernel?

>535M
-ed

How'd you debloat it

Nobody has ever said that Debian is bloated. Debian is known for splitting packages in a way that caters to autistic minimalists.

However, you've completely fucked up by using ranger, xfce4-terminal, pulseaudio, and two clocks.

this

>not using st
>using G*U nano
uriel would not be pleased

HOW

not OP

Fresh Void install, what do I do to begin my minimal and tight ricer setup?

use a WM, either i3wm or openbox, search what fits your workflow better. replace default terminal with any rvxt flavor

>kernel 4.9
Is that from the nineties?

Debian Stale. No WAY I'd let testing get near my computer.
# echo 'APT::Install-Recommends "false";' >> /etc/apt/apt.conf

low package count is indicative of a loser who doesnt actually do any computing other than ricing

Exactly, you use Sid.

And then you open Firefox

This

What's the problem with testing?

i hope you're not using systemd with your debian.

> Not using st
Does everything urxvt can with less code

>nano

I don't think there are major problems with it, but I prefer the comfiness of stable.
You sure? If I wanted low package count, I'd be running Void with tmux, using top, vi and other included utils - Arch and to an extent Void are too much work for me, that's why I choose debian, I can make the system work for me while still having it in control. I spent an weekend setting it up, so no time of value was lost.

Bspwm + kitty terminal

I always found it funny that these screenshots take the time to occupy half the screen with a waifu picture you're likely not even going to be seeing

bspwm + st

but slower

I just use testing cause the packaging is good for me.
Sid has easier broken packages, which I dont like.
Stable is too old for me.
Testing is just right for me.
I thought when you said
>No WAY I'd let testing get near my computer.
You meant there is some issue on testing that isn't on sid or stable that I'm unaware of

>using kitty

You don't like it?

>535M
my KDE install eats less RAM than your "non-bloated" debian+i3

lol, my default installation of antergos with xfce is way under 800 packages

It just doesn't fit my usecase. Too many "features"

That's fair, it pretty much replaces tmux for me. Sometimes I go back to urxvt and I like it, but I miss the ligatures

gimp, w3m-img
sits at 200ish mb when idle

how do you people go without Dolphin and AUR is beyond me

>systemd
cianigger get out

>What's the problem with testing?
it has packages that are 2 days old.
we have idiots here whose only reason to live is to
>pacman -Syy
then
>pacman -Su
then
>go to sleep
and repeat.

Then do you have the same issue with Sid?

>ranger
Not him but I ulse ranger and fits mostly my needs. Is something wrong with it?

The main issue people have with ranger is that its written in python and isn't as minimal as it could be. Ranger is a fantastic utility, just a bit slower and more bloated than preferable.

I like how it browses files and being into terminal. Would you recommend something? I'm on Void.

Ranger. I use it too. I love the utility I just wish it was a bit snappier/not as bloated. Your primary other option is mc but its not as good as ranger in my opinion

>debian writes MBR to the USB
into the trash it goes

he's using stable

>i just press enter on the install

rip

It wrote MBR to the USB because you told it to, fuckface.

>fuckface
rude
also implying you can tell it anything
>which you can't

>implying you have any other option
i really wanted to tell it to NOT put it there
alas debian's installer knows best
