It's been 18 years and no one has made a better music player. What's up with that?

It's been 7 years and nobody has made a better torrent client.

CMUS exists, user.

>no custom tags
>command line shit
Wow, such a great player.

Deadbeef works on Linux. That makes it better by default

>What's up with that?
Y’all cowards don’t even smoke crack

Came here just for this reply.

Anyway why fix what's not broken?

Ummmm iTunes says hi

mpv does a good job of playing whatever i throw at it

Am I the only person with a useful foobar layout?

since Clementine is abandonware at this point, I might actually try foobar

is there a way to make it not look ugly as shit?

ncmpcpp

ncmpcpp amd mp123 best

>clementine
>abandonware
Pick one

What's wrong with Winamp 2.666?
You seem like a nice kid so let me give you a little tip: put your music folder on your taskbar so you can just use the popup menu to find your music (you must have it organized for this to work). Then right-click on either the song or album folder and either play it or enqueue it in winamp and that's it. Never mess around with playlists explicitly ever again (unless you want to).

Cantata + mpd is better than foobar. Has a sane GUI unlike doobar which you need to install a plugin to make functional.

last update was years ago
I'm forced to use an older version because the playback is slow as shit in 1.3 and above

>what are developer builds
Good luck trying these out.

>what is AIMP

Shitty program.

>no custom tags
that's an mp3 feature

>command line shit
don't need more than that

Spotify

ncmpcpp!

Yay, I got "okay" from anonymous poster.

Because the best music player was made before foobar

fucking pajeets invading Jow Forums

>horrific
what you call horrific I call perfectly functional

>using abandonware

mpv *.flac --shuffle

Deadbeef might be the best alternative, but I'm still missing a lot of features that I use in foobar.

In the end I decided to just stop listening music on linux.

that aint winamp 2.95

What's the best iTunes alternative for Windows these days, anyway? I've finally dumped the last of my Apple devices and want to move away from their shitty software, but I still want something that acts as a music catalog and handles all of the sorting etc. for me, not something where I have to autistically sort all my shit into folders like Winamp back in the day.
