Headphones

Is there a better pair of headphones than the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250-Ohm? I've owned a previous 32-Ohm pair and accidentally tore the cable out. They're the best I've ever owned, but I hate not having a removable cable. How hard could it be for them to add that feature? Anyway, some people say these still work fine on mobile devices because they have high sensitivity, but I'm not sure. None of the other options I'm aware of seem compelling to me.

How do i use this?

>How hard could it be for them to add that feature?
If you can solder and have a drill, easy af.
>Anyway, some people say these still work fine on mobile devices because they have high sensitivity
They'll work fine, just slightly lower volume.

lurk moar

Hmm, you'd be jerry rigging the housing. It would almost certainly come out like shit if DIY'd.

I wanted my own thread.

>hate not having a removable cable. How hard could it be for them to add that feature?
Not hard at all. Do it (or have someone do it for you if you lack the tools and basic soldering skills) Beyers are among the most maintenance/modding-friendly headphones out there.

Get gud?
Seriously...

>Hmm, you'd be jerry rigging the housing. It would almost certainly come out like shit if DIY'd.
Huh? Only if you somehow manage to royally fuck up enlarging a single hole in the housing to attach the socket for the cable.

Huh, that seems reassuring. If I rip another cable out, I'll probably look for someone to do this for me.

Sure, doing something irreversible for the first time.

Stay useless then?

I don't really care. I'd rather spend my time elsewhere.

It's almost like I have other interests than fucking around with headphones to add an aux input.

Get the fuck outta here kid.

>aux input
what the fuck are you even doing on this board

>you don't like what I like
>reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This site is 18+.

I'm not sure what you're deal is, but it looks like I'm asking for advice.

>asking for advice.
>disregards given advice as waste of time
Then what the hell your asking for? Buy a whole new pair of Beyers and be done with it then.

I'm not deal at all, homeboy

You ever put the ear muffs back on? Fucking nightmare fitting those

That was one worry I had, but I'm not expecting those to fall apart. My Astro A40's have an ultra shitty earpad replacement method. My MH40's just had shitty earpads. V-Moda earpads are pretty good, but mine broke and they retention system is kinda shoddy, but works just fine. Grado just uses generic foam. Most headphones have some critical earpad shortcoming.

yes there are better ones, dt 770 is a good entry level

the cable is easily replaceable

>the cable is easily replaceable
How so?

you buy a new one, you solder it on

Tricky? Perhaps, but nightmare? Nah.Try putting regular size HM5 pads on AKG K240 and Fostex T50RP.

Right there, just substitute the socket for the replacement cable if for some weird reason you don't want a detachable cable -->

Yes
>How hard could it be for them to add that feature?
Harder than it is to do it yourself.

I'm deciding between these and the V6. Any quality difference other than frequency response?

>Is there a better pair of headphones than the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250-Ohm?

Yes.

Also with a little work you can make the cable replaceable yourself.

Yeah the Beyer custom studio, a dt770 with removable cable and adjustable bass

Ayyyyy

Btw i personally like the 80Ohm one better then the 250Ohm, because without a good soundcard the 250 one is pretty useless

I run my 250ohm off my phone and laptop all day every day

What?! isn't it silent af?

nope

>made with cheap chinkshit plastic that breaks even if you baby them
>repair kit is $50 even though it's $0.02 worth of materials and machining
So much for German "quality".

Hm ok, I once tried a 250Ohm one with my phone / laptop and allways felt like turning the volume up a bit more. Even the 80 Ohm is near the knuckle on my phone sometimes

the difference in sensitivity in between the 80 and 250 ohms is basically nothing
only the 600ohm beyers can take a couple of milliwatts more to get going

They learned from those mistakes and now they're solid metal.

I've had both and they actually sound different. The 80s were more fun sounding to my ears (U curve). The 250s sounded harsher.

not on the 770

idiot, no their not only on the models called edition
