Jesus Christ, he looks like Chris Crawford ffs. My heart almost stopped. Who is that?
Oh nobody, just the man who made the operating system you're using now.
Oh the man who started the downfall of computer programming
nytimes.com
It's fake. I opened the link, but after doing so I noticed that the NYT would never phrase it as "dies at 67." They would say it in the past tense, "dead at 67" which is appropriate for a headline.
He's not allowed to die yet. C++20, metaclasses, compile time reflection, and conditional const still haven't landed yet.
Look up the Dennis Ritchie one you dumbass.
wat?
I knew he had a Happy Hacking keyboard but I didn't know that he had two
Lol where's that from
Literally in a vc with him today, he's not dead
You're right, headlines are supposed to be written in present tense even for events that happened in the past, the "historical present" (e.g., "on this day in 1998, Bill Clinton becomes the first sitting president to testify before a grand jury.")
I smell bullshit. The linked article is 404 and I can't find this news anywhere else.
You probably made a fucking typo...
You got me OP. I was prepping to spam the world.
>A typo
>Clicking a link
0/10 try harder next time.
404 on page must be BS
Holy shit all the dumb newfags in this thread.
Y u do dis to me, OP? I'm not even a C++ fag but I read the first few chapters of one of his books and like him.
You made me feel sad for a moment. Are you happy now?
Haha yes. Keep going, did you feel tingling, did your eyebrows drop?
You should watch his cppcon talks, he is a nice guy
That's amazing and disgusting how much OP could fit into his anus.
fuck you nigger you had me worried for a second
> go to wikipedia
> "is" instead of "was"
bullshit
Ive been updating the wiki page since I hid his body, i think theyre on to me
how can someone be so cute?
I would be more sad if Barney Starstroop died than any celebrity
Congrats, you've been rused.
