A lot of the k8s docs rely on you having background knowledge which you may or may not have - I don't, so I ended up with like 20 tabs of "how does auth even work in a cluster" and suchlike.
Once you get your head around it, it's... ok I guess. It's much easier to rely on tiller running on RBAC to do it for you though

I have a part time position at a consultancy company and we all work from home. Mostly just writing django stuff, but they said they're open to letting me write C/C++ stuff if they find a use for it. Pay is suboptimal, but I have other income sources and I'm starting Uni in a month. One thing this has taught me is I definitely don't want to work from home, a nice comfy office job would be nice, but I'm not sure what field. Money isn't too important, I just want to work on a fun project; preferably lower level languages with a few like minded people. Any advice anons?

Wrong. tl;dr - sit in your room and code until you know that you know you're good. Then start freelancing, build a CV and then start applying to jobs. Lots of them. Literally anyone can get a good job doing this.

As for learning you need to start by creating things you would find personally useful, even if just a little bit useful. After doing that a few dozen times, think of something other people would find useful and create it in your favorite language. Then after doing that for a while start reading books and docs, and usually that's when you start freelancing.

That $72k better not be in the Bay Area. You'll die of hunger.
