Don't think that TSMC is doing big chipsets. Why does Jow Forums care, you guys usually do not give a fuck about general electronics.

Not really because """"""7nm"""""" in reality is more like 50nm.
They also use 192nm wavelengths to make this """"""7nm"""""".

Those are small as fuck. How would you even know if you accidentally swallowed one of those?

Wouldn't surprise me if intlel shills use this argument seriously.

You absolute dumb fucks. The Republic of China does NOT view itself as a separate country to the PRC. It sees itself as the legitimate China, and the official government of all China, but just the island of Taiwan. I'm looking forward to your seething dumb cunt replies, which I will NOT be reading.
Matthew Taylor
Congrats on being the retard calling others stupid. The majority of Taiwanese people don't give a shit about the old "claims to the mainland".
Dylan Price
and once they try to force those claims, they will be simply wiped
so, good luck with that

27yo boomer here. What’s the + meme?
Caleb Cook
Intel themselves created this meme.
Basically 10nm got delayed from it's supposed release date. What do? Here is an idea. Refine process, squeeze some more clocks, a bit better efficiency and better yields (last one is especially important since base 14nm yields were trash, though they look stellar compared to what Intel has now with 10nm) Call it 14+ and sell to consumers. They will eat it up, since what they can do? We are Intel, our manufacturing is so far ahead we have massive lead. Surely we will refine 10nm by then and it will be alright.
Another year passes by.
Fuuug :-DDDD 10nm is still a trainwreck. What do???? Refine process again, and call it in marketing material "14++" (pic related) Consumers will eat it... right?
Notice btw how 10nm was supposed to come in 2018 according to this, (we all know now that is not true), how 10nm was supposed to go through same refining (so basically the joke is that the amount of refining will be a lot more leading to ever increasing amount of +++) and how despite HYPERSCALING™ (another marketing term created by Intel) for some reason performance will be lower than 14++(+?) Slight problem (for Intel) is that now consumers don't have to eat this shit and pretend it is candy since market has some actual competition for once.
