Become enlightened on Microsoft's spyware

I really want to join you guys, but how am I supposed to watch Blu-rays. or edit in Photoshop or premiere, or run School programs on Linux?

by becoming double enlightened and realizing that nothing is actually better than Windows.

>he doesn't know about """""the cloud""""""

Run a VM with a linux distro or dual boot if you feel paranoid about windows.

The spyware shit with windows might concern some people who don't understand what's going on, but lets be realistic here. If someone wants to get into your data, they will, they will find you and destroy everything you know and love.

There's nothing you can do to prevent it, if someone who knows what they're doing decides to fuck you.

Are you currently targeted by some of the best hackers on the planet? Are you a public face who has special security needs? If no, then you really should try not to worry about it.

There's only one cloud you need.

Getting good at configuring Wine

Use wine, and buy a dedicated blu-ray player for your tv

all that can be done with free soft
besides, linux can run most windows software, and its compatibility layer is constantly being upgraded

Most programs can be run in WINE, but some things like Premiere don't work at all, so you have to dual boot.

do all your shitposting on a linux pc connected to the internet
do all your actual adult work on a windows pc not connected to the internet

Linux is a kernel.

Yes, nothing is better at spying and removing using freedoms than Windows.

buy a mac obviously

>Are you currently targeted by some of the best hackers on the planet? Are you a public face who has special security needs? If no, then you really should try not to worry about it.
Nice try, NSA. Everyone knows you can't just start thinking about privacy after something bad happens. You have to keep it up always. Once it's lost it's hard to get it back. The "nothing to hide, nothing to fear" is backwards. If you aren't a convicted criminal, you have nothing to show to others.

Dual boot or try WINE.

If the NSA wants your shit, they're getting your shit regardless what you do.

I'm not even talking about privacy, I'm talking about targeting. There's nothing you can do to protect yourself from the big fish in the pond.

Privacy is important, yes. It's already gone on the internet though. You can get privacy from 99.999% of people easily enough, but you can never get privacy from people who are determined to get in.

I actually have a viable solution for you.

Run linux and windows using GPU passthrough. Pass the GPU to a Windows VM using VFIO.

You will get native Microshaft Wangblows performance and still be able to use linux.

you gotta have a special gpu or setup to do that though right?

No.

You need a two GPUs, but a lot of people have this. (integrated graphics + separate GPU)

If you have Intel, you also need IOMMU. (again 95% of people have this) Most people running AMD should be fine.

> hates Microsoft Spyware
> rather have systemd nsa spyware
Linux system d fags are the worst people

Isn't this still a giant pain in the ass to configure?

If you're not willing to sacrifice Blu ray for freedom, there's no point, it's better to stay at Win. They'll keep making bullshit technologies exclusive to proprietaries which you'll miss on. There's a price for freedom I am willing to pay, but it seems you are not.

>I really want to join you guys, but how am I supposed to watch Blu-rays.
With a Blu-ray player?? You can get those at walmart for cheap.

>or edit in Photoshop or premiere,
GIMP works perfectly fine

>or run School programs on Linux?
Use a virtual box for any windows program you "have" to have

>Linux system d fags are the worst people
Go fuck yourself and then kys. sysemd is not spyware, it's 100% open source and even rms of all people uses it on his libreboot T400s. If rms uses it, then you know it's perfectly fine.

>what is udev rule to automount bdmv
>what is virtualmachine

Nobody intelligent ever claimed a single operating system can do it all in todays age. Our mission is to build our own "it just werks" solution. Or you could pull your own kikebook move just spite all the stupid people while they lie in their complacence. I envy those giants, they can piss in the faces of anyone and convince them they did not.

>I really want to join you guys, but how am I supposed to watch Blu-rays. or edit in Photoshop or premiere, or run School programs on Linux?
Get a Mac
