Are slim case fans garbage or decent at removing hot air?

Been looking at pic related from noctua.

They go the same speed but have a smaller surface area for displacing air relative to their bigger counterpart

If you don't need the extra space, don't use them.

I see, i was thinking that since i'll be getting the Ghost S1 i would go low profile fans on top as i didn't want much in terms of added height to the case by using top hats.
Reckon i'll go for these one's instead ->

I wish Noctua made 37.5mm and 50mm thick fans for the air pressure.
