You're average joe here, never used a java program that just werked, there's always are error, sometimes shit won't even start, many times I had to download old versions of Java, and why the fuck do I have to download a program just to use another program.

Minecraft was literally the only noteworthy Java program ever created.
Also, probably the worst aspect of Minecraft was that it was written in Java. If it had been written in C++ it would have used 1/10th the memory and ran 10x faster.

Rest apis and android applications most of the time. Java makes a really nice backend
