Make new GPU on huge die and low yields

>Make new GPU on huge die and low yields
>Costs an arm and a leg to buy
>Prices go up due to low availability when it goes on sale.
>Have large stock of unused older generation GPU's that were returned by partners
>Everyone who is poor decides to buy older those GPU's
>Get to sell all your old unused overstocked GPU's due to lack of competition
>Nvidia has a win win on both counts
ABSOLUTE GENIUS!

Don't forget: (((((real-time (((((ray tracing)))))))))) is actually 30fps @ 1080p and only does 1 ray path sample per pixel (out of the 1-100K ray path samples per pixel used in actual ray tracing).

Sometimes even slower lmao. Fucking bravo novideo.

1k for mildly better lighting?

>only does 1 ray path sample per pixel

this is just not true, it's more like 4-5 (unless you were aiming to hyperbolise)

also can you quote me one place where they do 100k rays per pixel?

>Being mad at nvidia when it's AMD's fault for being a literal cuckold in a cuckshed letting the chink Chad eat all the market instead of standing their ground.

>"So as far as I see it, RTX (in case of real-time ray tracing) it's a sophisticated temporal point sample denoiser coupled with a low (really low, like 1 SPP low) ray traced data designed to cut frame conversion time to values acceptable for real-time applications."

Pretty much, nvidiots will lap this shit up like the second cumming of christ like always.

the 2080ti costs 1600 USD here in Sweden (because 25% VAT and other assorted taxes)

1000 USD is what the 1080ti has is selling for here right now

no one is going to buy these. These cost more than the entire computer here in sweden

>Nvidia has a win win on both counts
Not really, I assume NVIDIA would REALLY like it if people adopted their RTX shit so they can gain a grip on the market and establish control. If they whiff it now RTX is going to become irrelevant and die. If people buy Pascal instead of RTX they're basically shooting themselves in the foot.

Oh shit now we can get 30fps at 1080p but this time with 2 whole fucking ray paths traced. lmao

what a surprise
what are you guys hoping to accomplish with these threads anyway?

Attached: file.png (439x1090, 259K)

What are you trying to accomplish by outing yourself as someone who gets triggered by a tripcode?

>Blaming a small company for not being able to compete with a big company
>Not blaming consumers for buying big companies product when small company offered better alternatives for years if you were willing to take a small loss in performance for a saving in price due to brand loyalty

>Defending AMD tripfag shill having a meltdown.
AMD

Nvidia knows nobody is going to buy these but whales. Meanwhile they get to clear their Pscal overstock while they get 7nm read for release in less than a years time. Nvidia are fucking Asian kikes.

>Blaming a small company for not being able to compete with a big company
>AMD
>Small company.
Are you on drugs m8? Do you think AMD is your small mom and pop store at the corner of the street? Do you know how big they are?

I actually don't like AMD but why defend nvidia right now? Their product is nothing short of a complete botch. I expected 60fps @ 4K ray tracing and we get something barely better than global illumination.

Relative to Nvidia AMD are smallfry. Nvidia are huge in comparison.

>Still saying AMD is small.
Do you even know Jensen wanted to sell nvidia to AMD back then?
Do you even know Jensen literally worked for AMD?
Do you even know every single console and custom GPU/CPU out there is made by AMD (xbox, ps4, etc)
Do you even know how big their CPU division is?
AMD is far from being small you're doing some sort of mental gymnastics by wanting them to be the underdog when the only reason they are in this state vs nvidia is because they gave fuck all to their R&D and raja the pajeet king wanted RTG to go under so AMD would sell it to apple of all places before he jumped ship to Intel

Which dialect of lisp is that

F O U R T E E N (14) FPS for 1300€.
Nvidia is the Apple of GPUs, selling overpriced shit "technology" to religious retards.

None of what you just said changes the fact that Nvidia has a market cap 7 times bigger that of AMD, and almost twice the revenue, while focusing exclusively on the GPU market.

And we came back a full circle, why it's nvidia's fault for having such a market cap when just a few years ago it wasn't this bad?
What made AMD lose such a big chunk of the market just in 7 or so years?
Would you buy a crappy can of beans if there was another brand that delivered a better can of beans for a similar price point? Free market baby, it's unironically not their fault if they can't make decent cans of beans you should as a consumer never be forced to buy the shitty one just because the other brand has a better product.
All AMD had to do was revamp their management and get their shit together. Look at their driver team who only started working on vega drivers a couple months before hard release, remember the primitive shader memes?

TL;DR;
Literally always buy the best you can for your money and let the companies fight themselves, if they can't improve it's their faul, not yours for buying something better for your money.

It's a cucked image how do you fail to bait?

>"HURRR FAKE NEWS"
>source: my ass

You need to be dumb really to fall for an image with different brightness and a fraps sticker on top
All provided by red_cuck_666

>huge die and low yields
This isn't the case. 12nm had better yields than 14nm at all times of high volume production. Other than that you're entirely right.

A massive 750mm2 isn't something you do with massive yields.
Also these are failed Quadro dies binned as 2080ti

mate, nvidias trash pretend ray tracing only uses 1 spp. So even if that image was fake it'd be better the the nvidia render lmao.

>sees people talking about yet another nvidia shenanigan
>hurr, ayymd
fucking kys. You're the only shill here.

>1spp
That 0.5 Gigarays needed at 4k 60fps

Now add the shitty AI denoiser that has to guess the other 999,999 missing ray path samples

I agree Nvidia memeray is shit.
But both images are cpu raytraced with different brightness

9.5???

It consumers really were informed and bought the best products as you say then Fermi and the FX series wouldn't have sold as good as they did. Up until the 200 series, AMD have always had competitive products in the mid and low range yet the majority of sales still go to Nvidia, even when the price is higher. Even now the 1060 and 1050ti out sell the AMD equivalents.

What, you thought all those gorrilion rays were actually accurately rendered. What kind of goy do you take nvidia for?

Beware the BabbleGook!

>low yields
it's a fake node at a near obsolete plant meant to grab a few easy bucks while RTG have their pants down
why in the fuck would TSMC have low yields with a node that's basically 14nm, which they've had literal years to refine now

you're a dummy

fuck i did not know GPUs could render that in real time

hello jensen

hello dummy #2

Whats the difference except for more reflect shauns
