dolphin probably but nautilus is default in gnome and good enough to not bother to change it

Dolphin, but you need KDE.

GNU Emacs

Your terminal.

Gnome files, like everything gnome works like a charm.

all you need are ls and mv

mc

Unironically pcmanfm.
Give it a spin.

Ranger on terminal pcmanfm on GUI

This, I love pcmanfm

pcmanfm-qt

nemo

dolphin is fucking trash and hangs like shit if you do sftp:// like 20% of the time, it'll crash all of your SSH connections via it and it'll force you to reboot, not even restarting everything (even xorg) fixes the issue, you have to reboot.

Unironically I use Kubuntu (KDE) and use nemo & thunar for file managers.

...

Ranger

Install KDE

Konqueror is good.

110% wrong

doesn't remember sort

but im not gay

cd
ls
cd

ls -thal *

bloated

it would be if it had miller columns like ranger, or at least a better layout than a list

lool

Dolphin.

If thunar is to slow maybe you're better off in the terminal.

mc>pcmanfm>thunar>nautilus>dolphin

rox is quick and light, but takes a little getting used to

GWorkspace

No idea. I use mc.

Pantheon from ElementaryOS. Bretty gomfy

Sunflower is my favorite.

Ranger

I prefer terminal (occasionally ranger), but saving or opening files in Firefox requires use of a filepicker, and the default in Firefox (Nautilus I believe) is fucking garbage. What's a decent, minimal file explorer I can install to replace it, preferably not based on guh-nome?

What's the difference between pcmanfm and spacefm?
