Sony and HTC are both starting to eschew the headphone jack, Samsung has touchwiz and bixby shit, Apple is apple, LG bootloops, Motorola used to be pretty good but quality went down after Google sold them to Lenovo, Nokia phones have locked bootloaders, ZTE isn't on anyone's radar. Not sure what the consensus on Huawei is. Haven't seen the Pixels recommended that often either.

I used to really like the Moto G series, but the latest variants have been underwhelming. The Nokia 6.1 looks like a good replacement though.

I got the Nokia 6.1 a few days ago. Pretty good, android one is nice and slim and battery life is fine even though it doesn't have the biggest battery.

Was considering it before, but screen is too small for me. Ended up getting the s8. So far no complains at all

Huawei is approaching "belongs to the trash" tier since you can't unlock bootloader anymore. And as far as Sony goes it seems that only the XZ line loses the headphone jack, hopefully the XA line is safe

i did, my last one was the S3 and it's been going downhill there ever since, between exploding batteries, bixby buttons and the constant push for a "Samsung ecosystem" AKA shovelware and a push away from true android by developers/gods at Google.

I really like my moto g5 plus.
