laptop from 2011, iphone4 from 2010, both still work okay

I dunno, maybe 6 or 7 from both laptop and phone. My last laptop kept up for about this until its battery and HDD fucked up completely.

>>desktop

desktop 2 to 3 years
smartphone 1 to 2 years

don't really have any other tech

>desktop
So far they used to serve me for about 5-8 years each.
>laptop
I changed my previous laptop after about 2 years of use. I hope to get at least 5 out of the current one.
>smartphone
Used my Xperia Z1 for 5 years until the battery became pretty much unusable. Got Galaxy S9+ expect to use it for at least 3 years.
>tablet
I personally avoid those glorified photo-frames
>camera
Have no interest in photography to have a dedicated camera.
>car
Far too poor to afford a car. Not interested in them either. But if/when I get one, I guess about 7-10.

Laptop and car from 2007, desktop from 2013 and phone from 2015.
At least five years for everything but at this rate i don't think i can upgrade my laptop/phone, everything available is fucking awful.

No car yet, I wish I could. Well, actually, I have one from a family member waiting for me. But I can't pay 1000€ for a license.

I got a small embedded system continuously online since 1998 that I keep around for novelty and because I refuse to let it die, it's got it's own UPS and redundant internet connection and I got weirdly attached to it. I hope that it will still be running in 20 years but no idea how realistic that is.

>desktop
2018, I will probably have to sell it in a few months though. I bought it to work but before even finishing it that job went down the drain.
>laptop
2008, I expect it to work at least 4 more years. It's so old that it has begun to be a meme around my college, as it's a high end one which beats the shit out of the cheap laptops without SSD that are sold in retail stores. It needs some repairs though, touchpad isn't working (6€ on eBay) but I'm looking for a whole non-working one so I can use the keyboard+touchpad with my desktop. I spent 8 years without using a mouse and hate it. So even after it dies, this laptop organs will keep me company for a few more years.

>laptop
Its a 2013 ThinkPad X220. I only use it when i travel which is rare so I dont need it for anything other then browsing, emails and some light puzzle games to pass the time. I recently replaced the slow HDD with an SSD.
>smartphone
I replace every 24 months because I have them on contract. Its suits me fine. I just upgraded to the Galaxy S9.
>tablet
Still using a Galaxy Note 10.1 I got back in 2013. its only real use is movies for the kids when were on the road.
>camera
Bought my last SLR back in 2010 and its fine. I barely use it as phones are more convenient and less to carry around.

Its been an average of about 7 to 10 years. My current one is a 07 Mazda CX-7. Our last upgrade was from our 06 Mazda 6 to a 2016 Mazda 3

I use stuff until it breaks beyond repair, or until there are no parts left for it at a reasonable price, or until it simply becomes too slow for my day to day tasks. I'm posting this from a ThinkPad R60 running OpenBSD. It has a 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM with a 1.6GHz Core2 Duo. I've had this bad boy since late 2006. My phone is a Nexus 5 with Lineage OS. I don't own a car since my job is less than a mile away.

Current laptop is from 2011. It's still going strong, and I see no reason to change it for the foreseeable future.
>smartphone
While I'd love to say 4-5 years, I can't honestly expect to get more than 3 years at most out of a smartphone today. They just aren't built to last any longer, but I replace them when they start to fall apart at the seams. My Nexus 4 lasted me almost 4 years from 2012 through 2016.

gonna sell my studio monitors and get open back headphones instead but that's just for desk space

Well, my about 10 year old desktop (Q9650 etc.), laptop (2,5 Ghz c2d Dell), camera (EOS 5DMkII) and car (Volvo V50) aren't badly obsolete but they've seen lot's of use and newest tech is at least somewhat better. So for them 10 years seem quite good.

I've never had a tablet and don't know how they're used. But I'm never happy with phones. I've had each phone about 3 years but I think it's too little. Year after year cheap phones lag and I don't like ditching +500€ meme device every third year but they don't last longer. I wouldn't mind having a phone for more than 5 years if it would just work like new all the time.

I've been using +20 yo stereos, +20 yo kitchen appliances and +20 yo bicycles (and a +20 yo car). I seriously hate this consumerism of short life span products that get's expensive to our wallet and also for the environment.

My desktop is custom built and I've had a motherboard crap out on me. I just upgrade whenever a component breaks or gets too old. My entire computer won't just fry at once unless something really fucked up happens.

I've had my laptop since 2015 and it's still running perfectly. I'd say it could still work til around 2020 or 2021.

My smartphone has been abused and dropped to no end by me, so I think it'll probably only take 1 or 2 more years of it. I bought it used in near-perfect condition for cheap like half a year ago, so I'll just do the same thing with a newer smartphone once it's kill.

No car because vision sucks too much to get license.

I've got a Nintendo Switch that I keep dropping in portable mode. I think it'll last me a good 4-6 years so long as I be more careful.
