That it does not matter. The code we run is behind 7 abstraction layers anyway. Not the servers, but the compute is the commodity the services are build atop.

knoppix live from a cd-rom on a repurposed xp-era amd sempron desktop with 2gb ram and an aftermarket network card because it didn't come with an ethernet LAN port
