CPU came with a decent cooler that had RGB, getting a decent mobo without RGB is pretty much impossible these days, and once I had those they looked kind of pathetic by themselves and I needed some fans anyway so I got some RGB ones. I hate flashing rainbow stuff but I think this actually looks pretty decent when it's all set to one consistent color.

Tbqh, I'm a programmer and use computers for 25 years but I till need to look at my fingers from time to time or I lose my relative position of keys.
I think I have reduced feeling in fingertips, just like there are people who instantly loose their direction when they close their eyes.

I'm a professional writer, so naturally I'm a pretty damn good touch typist, but I still need to look at the keyboard occasionally for infrequently used symbols or punctuation, especially when they're oddly-placed ones that require me to move my hands out of the normal home row position. I also use several games and apps that have macros or hotkeys that are placed in such a way that it's easier to use a non-standard hand position, and I still need to look down to make sure my hand's in the right spot when using those programs.

how long do you have these by now? are you okay with the loudness of the horizontal one? i once tested one in horizontal but it was awfully loud, now got them all (3 pcs) vertical, but one seems so make some noices and even spinning faster/slower sometimes

My case and my cpu cooler are both RGB, I turn them off 100% of the time though. I bought them for the components, not the lights.

My keyboard has white backlighting, keyboards are the only lighting I actually like because it's useful. My motherboard has dumb RGB shit and it even has headers to connect to other RGB shit, but I don't care and it's inside the case anyway so I can't see it. I used to have an RGB mouse but it shit the bed and thankfully I found a good replacement that doesn't have any lights.
