4.2.2.2, 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 are fine to pull from. Latency shouldn't matter since you should cache your DNS on local server for weeks.

Is there anyway to verify this? I doubt archive.is would want to sabatoge themselves from not being accessible, right? Would archive sites not want as much traffic? If it helps them save money on bandwidth it would make sense. How do they get funding?
