Not from the US, but out company started hiring Venezuelans for like half of what we get paid, me an a few co-workers are going to start a new company in secret (not actually in secret, we want upper management know we have a plan B in case they start cutting pay) and jump ship in masse at the slightest sign of us getting replaced. Since they have to compensate us if we actually get fired, companies just start cutting bonuses prompting you to resign, they expect a much more gradual rate of resignation, not a mass resignation.

Get yourself a more advanced, specialised job in which you won't be competing with them.
I'm a freelancer and there are two kinds of jobs I tend to get. The first is making basic CRUD sites and mobile apps in Javascript, and the pajeets are a real threat there (although somebody competent will usually still be required to clean it up and fix problems).
The second kind is lower level (but still userland) code. Right now I'm using a mix of C and x86_64 asm to write a proxy DLL that will fix/augment the behaviour of an existing application (the source of which has been lost). I feel confident that South Asia is not competitive in this area. My strategy is therefore to shift towards the latter kind of work rather than the former.

And of course if you're a kernel programmer, embedded developer, etc- you're safe.

I've heard the "X is taking out jeeeerrrbs" argument a hundred times and the jobs that are lost are always the lowest tier ones in their respective sector. Robot arms eliminating some factory manual labour, etc. If your job can be replaced with X, shift to a better job that X can't do. If you can't do that, then retrain into a different trade. I hear HVAC pays well, and I don't expect robots to be rolling around on rooftops fixing vents any time soon. Maybe welding too, if you can specialise in something other than a factory environment.

If you ever saw the code they produce or otherwise tried to work with Indian offshore companies you would know why this will never happen. The only companies that outsource their software development are those that don't consider software their core business and thus don't care about quality (banks, insurance) or large multinationals that stopped innovating decades ago and live off milking corporate customers (IBM, Oracle)
