This isn't show & tell, I'm asking if there is any way to identify what it held at some point - i.e. does corruption like this happen because of something specific? Is there any way to tell what it was caused by? Would anything be able to read it in this state?
Brody Russell
You're screwed. That kind of USB sticks isn't old, there's no way everything is already corrupted. It's probably a trap
Noah Hughes
>dates >2080 user that drive is from the future.
Asher Butler
Hold onto that drive OP. We'll call you in a few hours.
Upload all the files to MEGA and let us download them pls. >inb4 poorly orchestrated ARG
Jacob Ross
Uploading the files probably wont work, but you could image the disk and upload that Try ODIN
Luis Reyes
Bullshit. The files shown here already total 66GB in size.
>666 You larping /x/ fucking faggot. Get the fuck off Jow Forums.
Gavin Reed
Probably wont work. Fat32 can address 2 TB, while the drive is only 8 GB. That means theres a 0.4% chance a random address where file block probably points is valid You're stupid
Jackson Myers
You're an idiot if you think the drive conveniently has only 666MB space left. Should've already been a give away OP was roleplaying purely from the time stamps. Go back to /x/.
Whats the problem with the timestamps? They look pretty much legit random junk. Also, you obviously have no knowledge of how a filesystem works. My guess is that the FAT table length got corrupted and it reads junk as file table data. If op delivers an image of the fs its pretty easy to tell if its fake via forensic methoda
Eli Nguyen
Try to format the partition by using the windows tool If you can format then you are ok If you can't then you are larping faggot
Colton Richardson
Well I can tell you it was plugged into a Mac at some point. Hopes that narrow down where it came from.
Joshua Robinson
Fucking kekd
Ryder Baker
The files are obviously corrupt and reporting incorrect sizes you dumb nigger
Thomas Clark
Got this error, I've never used the disk management tool before so I have no clue what this means
Thanks, a friend had a MacBook a while ago, I'll ask them about the flash drive
OP that jump drive is a cursed zip disquette. you have to throw it in the nearest river immediately along with any computer you've plugged it in to as well as any monitor that displayed information contained on the usb mass storage device AND cables that transferred information good luck OP

change one to txt, png or exe and see what happens
In the hope that you haven't written to the stick yet: Try to carve the files and report back what's on the stick, it might just be the FS that's corrupted.
Andrew Fisher
the van is on its way.
Asher Perry
Try opening these fikes with vlc. Judging from sizes I bet on them being porn videos.
I know this refer to some quantum/nuclear physics shit, but can someone give a quick rundown?
Thomas Jones
I know this is stupid to ask on 4ch but could you delete that? Would appreciate it very much.
Grayson Gutierrez
Literally no physics shit is involved. He’s making fun of the gibberish file extensions
Aaron Taylor

Cameron Rogers

Dump it with HDD RAW Copy and upload again.
Isaiah Perez
I wouldn't mind if you tell me why. Also my post was archived with the pic, so I don't see the point. The rest are wedding photos, and some clips form the wedding. There are nudes though.
Elijah Davis
u can't even connect the usb drive to the lightning port
Nathaniel Cox
>Φ@⌐= No u.
Nathan Sullivan
Guimme them nuudes
Adrian Williams
What I mean by carving is use tools made for carving files and report back, your uploaded files won't be any good, because as I said in the FS might be corrupt and carving should be able to reveal files that are still OK on the drive.
