I don't understand people who have so many songs on phone, like wtf man, why are you listening to someone speak some shitty madeup love/breakup events in a noisy background? Doesn't sound fun or entertaining at all.

Poweramp

shuttle

Vanilla Music Player

Newpipe
Don't need to store songs when you can stream every song in existence for free.

paid poweramp
vinyl music player if you want foss

Vlc

Looks like I'm cancelling my Spotify premium now.

I'm using DoubleTwist Pro because it supports ALAC.

Good. It's sjw ran rung. Gave me great joy when one of its top clowns got killed by migrants.

Neutron Player. FUCKING KAMI TIER FOR $6

Anybody have a music player that lets you change tracks through volume buttons without needing root?

Freetards will all recommend their generic players that use the stock Android sound system.

I, however, recommend Hiby Music, which provides the best possible sound quality for autismo audiophiles and supports many esoteric formats, including your beloved Opus.

Newpipe - for YouTube (F-Droid or GitHub)
Spotify - for streaming (Google Play)
Vanilla Music - for a lightweight simplistic player (F-Droid)
Blackplayer EX - my favorite and most customizable player (Google Play

Edgy

Damn looking good so far, thanks for the recommendation user, I was getting tired of Shuttle.

Just curious. Is there any music player like the old iPod interface? As in, has a circle scrubber at the bottom to navigate through your shit? Would be an interesting project.

Looks like shit tho.

Poweramp, I grabbed it for literal twenty cents during a sale. Supports opus, cue, hi-res audio and has a good, minimalistic design and above all the ability to add songs to queue when tapped INSTEAD OF PLAYING IT RIGHT AWAY.

If you bought the activator be sure to get the v3 build 709 apk instead of the newest one, versions beyond that got a UI redesign that looks and feels like absolute AIDS.

phonograph

is there a music player that plays webm's and mp4's?
where is winamp?

newpipe

I use Phonograph

And it's free, unlike that Neutron shiz

If you're listening to music, Neutron, if you're juts looking at album art and UI - Phonograph.

Shuttle+

Only player I found that uses the album artist tag field unlike most others that don't understand the difference between artist and album artist

Poweramp + Viper4Android

What Android players except Neutron and Onkyo have a parametric EQ? Or maybe some audio mods like Viper(though Viper itself doesn't)?

Obviously poweramp. The new UI is pretty great.

Attached: Screenshot_Poweramp_20180902-114916.png (1080x1920, 1.02M)

Shuttle

In viper you can import impulse response from your pc and select it in the convolver.

spbp

That's not what I asked.

>better than terminal or cmd, fuckload customisation, best audio quality, 32 bit DAC support
>shit audio shit customisation but muh beautiful aesthetics

Choose 1

Neutron give lot of other things in exchange for one time $6 fee, the dev is a god for making that level of autistic music player for audiotards like me

I believe none have. both are audiotard players, have paid Neutron, can tell.

Neutron because of parametric eq

Google Play Music, because it's the only player which lets me listen to my google music library...

>paying for a poweramp ripoff
ishygddy

Does Neutron support gapless playback?

DoubleTwist seems very nice to me

netron can even support your mom if you have enough storage space.

I loved 1by1, but it's not compatible with newer androids (>6), and the developer is not interested in updating it until he gets one of those phones himself.

This has been my alternative since It's very good, but I wish it wasn't a playlist player.

Yeah same. Its FOSS. IMO it doesn't get much better. Also I'm pretty sure the desktop version can play files that are partly corrupted in certain ways.

vinyl is foss non-jew version of phonograph, check that one out user

I'm listening to music.

>Opus
Opus is already suported natively, retard

I just load up albums to my SD card I'm not into streaming

I was actually going to cancel it and get YouTube music since it runs in the background but yeah this app literally does that for free.

>Implying I should choose just one
>Implying it's impossible to have both
Just say the dev is shit at UI design.

Anything besides pic related is fucking useless.

Neutron + a network folder is the most patrician setup.

GPM is not just about streaming tho, but the downloaded music can only be played by it.

Retro music player.

I use the sony music player app that comes with sony phones, it's the best.

primo autism
you're larping but legit shiggy that some people actually think like this

For the kind of player it is, it looks like an old school DJ deck, so I'd say interface is good, just not matching with what we expect on a phone

I like the interface, old school audiotard style

/thread

Most of mine are soundtracks or instrumentals.

No. I'm not larping or trying to be edgy. I used to have lots of songs in my really old s40 Nokia at highschool. As I went for a bachelor's, I realized that I'm not even listening to much songs anymore. I deleted all but some ~70 songs. By the end of masters I had just 2 anime tracks. And I said fuck it. Music is just some emotionally manipulative horseshit. Either that or background noise. And don't even get me started on "lyrics with a deep meaning" crap.

Vinyl Music Player
- nice
- non botnet

The default Sony player (once called Walkman) honestly. I like how it can get the info of almost any song out there including a list of possible artists and clear album art that I can't even find on Google.

It's one of the things keeping me on Sony. As far as I know Samsung's default player doesn't have that.

Why is Jow Forums full of spyware loving cuckolds?

Please stop being a faggot, it's for your own good

Poweramp, also foobar2k but unfortunately it's so ugly

Jesus, how can someone be such an edgelord.

I actually go out of my way to install Sony's player whenever I get a new phone.
It used to be annoying, having to scour xda for a flashable zip but now you can just install xmlpack magisk module and grab it straight from the play store.
Such a shame about their xperia line. Great software stuck on shit hardware.

Except you are actually doing digital passhtrough to your DAC/Reciever. And when you are not you are limited by your phone's DAC not your music app. Nice snake oil though. I hope you have some $1000 gold plated ad free edition.

Need a player that sorts files in album interprets and that recognises compilations.
Any suggestions?
