are you telling me gnucash is available for Android?

Yeah. Quite different than the desktop version.
I prefer the mobile version rather than the desktop one though. Less functionality but WAY LESS clusterfuck for what I use it for (personal finance)

I might be boomer paranoid but I'm quite uncomfortable with centralizing all my passwords in one database.

I'm currently using Foobar2000 on my phone as my music player but it leaves a bit to be desired. Anyone got any recs?

Startpage.com

Bing is god-tier for porn

Bing is actually a profitable endeavor for Microsoft.

Which is the best app to ssh to my computer from a smartphone for file transfer and possibly other tasks?

Yes. It's the best porn search engine out there for some reason.

best free music app?

Try Chromium SWE my friend. Ublock origin might be the best adblocker, but Chromium SWE from F-Droid has a decent blocker built in with other built in addons, and it renders web pages much muuuch better than Fiirefox for Android does. Firefox is shit at rendering on Android right now, which is actually really sad cause I would use it if it was more comparable to the competition.
You can install samsung smart switch on any android device, if you google how to hack it onto a non-samsung, and it makes a very excellent backup solution that is ridiculously easy, and not cloud based.
I use Chromium SWE browser from F-Droid and Startpage search engine.

is there any pc program to recover my data from a s5 with broken screen?

Clover, Yandex, K9 Mail, F-Droid when possible, Discord/Gaybook Messnigger, Robinhood.
I can't decide on a music player. all of the ones on F-Droid are incompatible with Android Auto, and the ones on the Play Store that do work with Android Auto are just terrible. Thinking of just going with Spotify exclusively.

You have to use a mouse on a usb adapter through the microusb port to unlock the screen since it won't respond to touch, but the system is still waiting for you to unlock it, to get it to connect to a pc.
You might need something to let you output to hdmi and usb, if you need to see what you're doing, and make sure your phone supports that, cause some android phones do and some dont.

is the dr fone program a scam? cause with that i can preview all my shit, still doubtful tho

hmmm, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure Dr. Phone and EaseUS programs are legit. I've used EaseUS android SMS recovery app before to recover deleted messages only attainable however with root access also, and it was extremely effective, and better than the other options by a considerable margin.
I believe my boss has also used dr. fone before to do stuff, the programs work, if they preview something they can get it, it's just their prices, and limited use purchases (transfer specifically from one platform to one other platform only) and high costs for most of their services that bug me ethically especially.
There is often a free way to do everything they offer, but it is more manual of course.
