Why don't you own one of these yet?

Got any more Justine Apple memes?

Not really

Attached: Cum_downloads.jpg (1280x769, 243K)

they are expensive, they don't have a clitmouse, and I dont want to worry about getting it scratched or any shit like that.

Because I already own these. It's like one of those but less expensive, better build quality, and a dedicated GPU.

I find better things to spend a 1000 euros than a thinness upgrade

no touchscreen

i do own one, because i'm not poor

do people really want touch screens on Macs?

Because I'm a hetero sapiens

Because I can afford a real PC

>Why don't you own one of these yet?
Considering it. My 2012 macbook finally died yesterday and I see nothing on the market that can beat apple's touchpad.

Because I already own the windows equivalent

I don’t have any compelling reason to buy one yet.

Also scary people on the internet keep saying it sucks.

>third world shitholer so poor he compares a 8 year old laptop he stole from a tourist to the newest ones

It's not like newer models are any different except for freezer integration

>8 year old
I think that is the 2016 model.

>Apple products look like they are 8 years old after only two years

>third world
>uk
>not even a shitskin

Don't even know what most of the laptops in these thread are, they all look the same.

>uk
UK plugs are, of course, superior in every conceivable way and only a total retard would deny this. But I live in Malaysia.

Isn't Malaysia more like second world?

Not really. The old definition of third world "not Allied, and not Axis" fits. Malaysia is a member (and was the host) of the Non-Allied Movement. The new definition of third world "still developing" also fits.

It is a great country, possibly the best one in the third world, but still third world.

No it's older. That's the original magsafe

Why don't you buy it for me?

Found the reddit fag.

Why don't you shit in one of these yet?

It's one of the things keeping me from getting one. Apple wsould never do it though,

Reminder that this iPajeet shill outed himself.

>sends himself messages for "le ebic trole xD"

Stop posting, newfag.

Suck my cock uwu

Shitty keyboard.
Shitty fan profile.
Shitty VRMs.
Shitty thermals.
Shitty reliability.
Shitty way the SSD is inaccessible when any chip/capacitor dies on the board.
Shitty price for what you get.
I'll stick with my 2013 rMBP. The new ones always have had a catch, or reason why they are gimped unreliable pieces of garbage.

>uTorrent
What a retard.

I do own one. My last employer bought me one. The keyboard and trackpad failed after about 2 years of use. Now I use it with an external keyboard and mouse.

>macshit 2013
Shitty keyboard.
Shitty fan profile.
Shitty VRMs.
Shitty thermals.
Shitty reliability.
Shitty price for what you get.
lmao

Weren't the terms originally introduced during the cold war? With America and it's democratic allies being first world. The USSR and other communistic countries second world. And undecided/non affiliated countries third world?

I have two XPS 13s instead

I do, and it's shit.

This, point at him and laugh

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_World
You are right. My mistake. Cold war, not WW2.

Incorrect. The 2013 rMBP had decent thermals. The keyboards didn't break from one molecule of dust getting under it, easily replaceable, and didn't make a lot of noise when being pressed. They were nice feeling (for laptops) keyboards. The fan profiles on the 2013 models were great too, they spin up at the correct thermals. Apple altered this profile on the 2014 and 2015 models to make them more quiet, which results in the CPU constantly overheating, throttling, cooling down, then heating up again. That meme picture of a rMBP with the forum post and the sad smiley is from a 2015 model. The 2013 rMBPs are pretty reliable machines, they are known to have the least amount of hardware issues from any Apple laptop, they aren't even known to crash much, and still work fine after five years of heavy use (I can speak of this myself, still runs perfectly).

Im broke nigga, fuck you think

I already have a laptop and no reason to get another one.

>it's the daily freetard pretends to be a retarded apple user so he and the rest of Jow Forums can shit on OP and make it an "apple hate general"

I opted for this instead.

>Glossy screen
>Cheap looking body
No thanks

Because I own this.

Attached: ThinkPad_X1_Yoga_Silver_6.png (1498x1124, 714K)

Because my 2013 laptop can marathon at 4.6Ghz on all 8 cores.

>Glossy screen
It's not immediately apparent except in very bright areas, in which case I just position myself away from the lights. The better color gamut is very much worth it.

>Cheap looking body
I'll admit I was a little wary myself, but it's pretty damn sturdy. No sharp edges or anything like that, either.

Attached: mxp.jpg (800x451, 178K)

awaiting redesign with old keyboard, magsafe, no touch bar

Anyone with half a brain knows the MBP from 2013 has the better keyboard

display is due for a refresh with the direction smartphones are going, not going to pay thousands of dollars for slightly updated hardware in the same enclosure

With a body that thin there just can't be any keyboard travel. Looks uncomfortable. No, I wouldn't buy a Mac either. There has never been a situation in my life where I thought "if only my laptop was thinner I wouldn't be in this mess". Screen size I can understand, not everything fits in a backpack.

Attached: thin_laptop.png (650x500, 80K)

I unironically want one and can't afford it. I'm not bitter about it, though.

Who needs a clitmouse when you have the world's best trackpad which is bigger than the biggest phone sold by the same company?

It's 2018 > 2013/2015 > 2016/2017.

2013 is inferior to 2018 because the keys are smaller, less stable, prone to double-triggers ghost triggers and dropped triggers, are backlit by a single giant LED and have an unnecessary amount of travel.
2018 is quiet, reliable, doesn't get BTFO by dust, has larger, more stable keys (each being illuminated by a single LED as to prevent light leaking), and very little travel meaning it doesn't take as much effort to strike a key. Basically, faster, more accurate typing requiring less effort from the user.

can't believe you're this salty over someone's else 8 years old macbook.

2018 isn't quiet. It's more quiet compared to butterfly gen 2 switches, but it's still way louder than the 2013 models. The 2018 keyboard is still probe to failure by dust, the extra sleeve doesn't help much. It may be more accurate, but it doesn't feel better in terms of striking a key. You slam down the key and it only has 2 mm to go down, if you didn't get the loud ass slam from the key plus the feeling that you can't press it down any further, you wouldn't even know you pressed a key, the travel is non existent.

Never going to happen

Said the edgy, anonymous 12-year old on a porn image-posting board.

>you wouldn't even know you pressed a key
That only applies to the 2016 model. 2018 has some improved mechanism that makes the key sort of 'slap back' when you let go that gives you a lot more feedback and confirmation. 2016 keys are pretty mushy and 2017 keys are somewhat less so, but 2018 are pretty confident actually.

2018 keys are louder than 2013 keys, yes, but the noise level is kept at an acceptable level. Not as dramatically loud as previous butterfly switches.

Personal insults in debate are an indication of defeat.

>With a body that thin there just can't be any keyboard travel.
You'd be surprised, user. It works surprisingly well and hasn't built up any dust over the past two months that I've had it. Even has space for a dGPU and recessed camera, which is extremely rare in a device of this form factor even if not always practical.

>Looks uncomfortable.
Again, it's not perfect, but I've had no issues with the keys and the trackpad is smooth to the touch. It's only uncomfortable under load, in which case I have it on a desk.

>There has never been a situation in my life where I thought "if only my laptop was thinner I wouldn't be in this mess"
Personal preference.

Attached: mxp2.jpg (3328x1698, 421K)

I do, I'm selling it to pay for this, which is much better

Attached: 20180902_231602.jpg (2989x3021, 3.93M)

I love that aspect ratio.

Why two?

Because of their garbage tier new keyboards. I'd be willing to give one a shot but those switches are absolute trash.

I like having a laptop that isn't afraid to look like a computer.

Attached: lenovo-laptop-thinkpad-p50-cover-1.jpg (1060x596, 63K)

Yeah it's pretty great, haven't had to hook it up to a monitor since I got it. Truly a shame how rare 3:2 is nowadays.

Because the big rossmann told me not to.

So I use a thinkpad from 1992 instead.

Attached: download.jpg (290x173, 6K)

Nokia 3210 from 1999 had a 2.5mm headphone jack, didn't need no adapters.

dont cum on your keyboard ! x)

> plastic that will begin to make noises in a couple years
> windows
> worse trackpad
> worse battery life
> no *nix base / shell out of the box

> windows
> wut keyboard
> worse trackpad
> worse battery life
> worse screen

seems decent, build quality might be noisy
> worse battery
> windows
> worse screen

not even commenting this 'thing'

yeah come again people, I'm afraid the only valid *nix laptop (out of the box) is still the macbook pro, still waiting for a valid alternative (price is not an issue for a working machine, and you should work in IT unless you're a neet)

>only valid *nix laptop (out of the box)
picknotebook.com/blog/best-ubuntu-laptop/

just read her twitter, like 50% of her tweets are memes

>dedicated GPU
apple got that too retard
but typical Jow Forums user hating on product that never owned

>plastic that will begin to make noises in a couple years
uses a unibody aluminum design, just like apple
>windows
a fresh ubuntu install is immediately compatible
>worse trackpad
>using a trackpad and not a mouse in 2018
>worse battery life
only by a margin. beats having one superglued to the chassis, though
>no *nix base / shell out of the box
it's not entirely incapable of that however
>worse screen
it's literally a higher resolution display

found the shill

Attached: 1535910355058.jpg (570x467, 97K)

ah yes, that'll just be $1000 extra

im saving up for one :) until then im gonna just chill with my x230

any laptop that wont allow me to do AT LEAST a drive swap is an automatic no

considering these new Macs have the SSD soldered into the board and there is no longer a data recovery port so apple can push their cloud services more

its gonna be a no

>my only criteria for a laptop is whether it's made out of aluminium or not

...

lol

Attached: hand.png (1200x1000, 1.05M)

Because i'm not retarded.

Because I have a Surface Book 2.

They are too difficult to use.
